Abstract

The invention relates to a system for emptying a coin-receiving apparatus into a collecting container. Its subject is an apparatus comprising a box (1) having at its lower end an emptying orifice (7) equipped with a trap (8), said collecting container (3) having at its upper end a collecting head (4) possessing a fastening member making it possible to introduce it into complementary means (5, 6) for fastening said apparatus (2) under said box (1), characterised in that the collecting head (4) is equipped with a coded identifier member (13) identifying the collecting container (3), said apparatus (2) possessing a reader (14) suitable for said member (13) and connected to an electronic decoding, processing and control circuit (12) which, if the coded identifier member (13) is recognised as valid, supplies a command for the unlocking of said trap (8). The invention is used for pay parking.

  coin receiver The present invention relates to a system for emptying, in a

  collecting container, of a coin receiving apparatus.

  The invention applies to all devices that require the introduction of coins and therefore a periodic emptying of their contents. In particular, the invention applies to toll terminals

for paid parking.

  In known devices, any container may be used by the agent responsible for harvesting the currency introduced into such devices. It is enough for him to possess a key allowing

  unlock a hatch giving access to the box of the device.

  The present invention aims to bring a greater

  security to the operation of collecting money in such devices.

  The invention thus relates to a system for emptying, in a collection container, a coin receiving apparatus, said apparatus comprising a box comprising at its lower end a drain opening provided with a hatch, said container collector comprising at its upper end a collection head comprising a fixing member for introducing it into complementary fastening means of said apparatus, under said box, characterized in that the collection head is provided with a coded identifier identifying member the collecting container, said apparatus comprising a reader, suitable for said member, and connected to an electronic decoding, processing and control circuit providing, if the identifier member is recognized as valid, an unlocking command

of said hatch.

  According to another characteristic of the invention, the receiver apparatus comprises means for introducing a personal code, specific to the collecting agent, connected to said electronic circuit which only provides the unlocking command of said trapdoor if the personal code is

recognized valid.

  The coded identifier unit identifying the collecting container may be of any kind: for example, it may be a key type mechanical code produced on the fastening member of the collection head, the appropriate reader of which is constituted by a complementary key located on the complementary attachment means belonging to the device. The actuation of said additional key, when introducing an approved collecting container having the correct coding key, triggering contacts belonging to a circuit

connected to said electronic circuit.

  The coded identifier member may also be a label carrying a magnetic coding, the appropriate reader is then a magnetic read head. It may also be a label carrying an optically read code. It is also possible to use a coded transponder, the apparatus comprising a microwave transmitter. It is also possible to use a coded electronic "chip", the device carrying resilient flexible contacts ensuring the electrical connection with the "chip" during the introduction of the collection head. Any other coding system

of course be used.

  The identification of the collecting container thus allows the management system of the receiving apparatus to recognize the presence of the unloading object. The security is further increased when the apparatus further comprises, as mentioned above, a means of introducing a personal code which must be provided by the collector for

  allow unlocking of the hatch.

  In the same way, the hatch 8 has a not shown mechanical latch which is unlocked by the collecting agent when it comes to empty the box 1. However, according to the invention, in addition to this usual lock, the hatch 8 has a lock 10 which enters a hole 11 of the hatch 8 and which is unlocked only by the recognition by a processing member 12, including decoding, processing and control circuits, an identification code 13 carried by the

  collecting head 4 and read by a reader 14 integral with the apparatus 2.

  If the identification code 13 is recognized by the processing unit 12, it transmits a signal controlling a relay 15 actuating a switch 16 closing an electrical circuit powered by 17 and

  comprising an electromagnet 18 actuating the lock 10.

  Once the hatch 8 has been unlocked, the operator can, by means of a lever known per se and not shown, open the hatch allowing

  thus the emptying of the box 1 in the collecting container 3.

  For greater security, the unlocking of the lock may be further subject to the introduction by the collecting agent of a personal identification code. For this purpose, the apparatus comprises means 19 for introducing its personal code. This means 19 being, for example, constituted by an alpha-numeric keyboard. This means 19 is well

  heard connected to the treatment unit 12.

  In the case of the example described, the reader 13 is for example an optical reader, but, as mentioned above, it is possible to choose the coding means 13 and its complementary reading means 14 among the

many known means. -

  1 / System for emptying, in a collecting container (3), a device (2) receiving coins, said apparatus comprising a box (1) comprising at its lower end a drain opening (7) provided with a hatch (8), said collecting container (3) having at its upper end a collection head (4) comprising a fixing member for introducing it into complementary means (5, 6) for fixing said apparatus (2 ) under said box (1), characterized in that the collection head (4) is provided with an encoded identifier member (13) identifying the collection container (3), said apparatus (2) comprising a reader (14), suitable for said member, and (13) connected to an electronic decoding, processing and control circuit (12) providing, if the coded identifier member (13) is   recognized valid, an order to unlock said hatch (8).   2 / A system according to claim 1, characterized in that the receiving apparatus comprises means (19) for introducing a personal code, specific to the collecting agent, connected to said electronic circuit (12) which provides the unlocking order of said hatch (8) that if the cade personnel is recognized as valid.
