Abstract

Method for positioning (interlocating) the tools of a body-assembly machine, of the type consisting in separating the set of intermediate means for installing these tools from the function of geometrically referencing them, in order to entrust the tools themselves with the task of positioning (interlocating) themselves after temporary isolation of some of them from their installation means. According to the invention, these tools are now lateral. Application, in particular, to motor-vehicle body-assembly lines.
