Abstract

Utensil for domestic use for cooking and rapidly heating food by steam, characterised in that it comprises a vertical cylinder 3 whose bottom part is connected to a lower stage 1 that takes the form of a uniformly perforated circular ring possessing at its outer diameter a fitting shoulder 2 having a sealing action vis-à-vis the steam source 14 situated underneath the stage 1. The middle part of the stage 1 is formed by a steam diffuser 4 to enable regeneration of the temperature and humidity of the steam that has already passed through the lower stage in order to cook the food located there. This regeneration of the steam will take place in the cylinder 3 above the food resting on the surface 1 and underneath the surface 9. This mixture of regenerated steam will act on the upper surface 9 and cook the food resting on 9. The upper stage 9, consisting of a uniformly perforated circular frustoconical container with a shoulder 10 at its upper extremity, makes it possible to fit a lid 11, and a shoulder 7 permits this fitting and creates a seal with the shoulder 6 forming the upper part of the cylinder 3.
