Abstract

Device allowing a physically handicapped individual in a wheelchair to drive a "motortrike". The invention relates mainly to handicapped individuals who cannot get out of their wheelchairs unaided or who have great difficulty in doing so. This is a novel creation, by virtue of a conversion of a means of transport which is not originally intended for handicapped individuals in wheelchairs; its modern look will be of interest to them. The conversion of the motorbike into a tricycle will take place by virtue of the addition of a second rear axle assembly; the handicapped individual will gain access to the passenger compartment from the rear, between the two driving wheels, by virtue of a self-tilting floor forming an access ramp in the inclined position. A second handlebar 5 will be installed in the passenger compartment, connected to the original handlebar by linkages 6. This invention will allow the handicapped individual to have the impression that he is actually riding a motorbike.
