Abstract

Float with transverse notches of ogival shape cut on the hull (submerged part) of a sail and surfboard. The number of notches and the angle of the ogive are determined as a function of the type of float and of the performance required. The flow of water L is concentrated and directed towards the axis of the board through the opening of the ogives, exerting a thrust on the notch. The water moves successively through the notches 6-5-3-2-1, the water being increasingly concentrated, which propels the board whilst limiting the drift.

Description

The present invention coalPiste to incise transverse slots of ogival shape on the submerged part of windsurfing and surfing
This part of the board is traditionally smooth which gives a hazardous sinusoidal displacement, a large drift and an imprecise displacement corrected only by the maneuvers of the navigator
The method according to the invention consists in remedying these drawbacks
On the slightly concave traditional shape are incised transverse ogival canals, the board finds better support and greater stability
The movement of water activates on the board by means of slots channeling the streams of water over the entire length having a reciprocal kinetic action
The slots limit the drift allowing the advancement and the cor reaction of the trajectory
The number of slots and their depths, such as the opening of the warhead, is chosen according to the performance requested.
The invention of the method is applicable to all traditional windsurfing and surfboards increasing the ennnono qualities
This new generation of transverse niche boards favors the practice of these sports at all levels
Industrial production is immediate without increasing the manufacturing target. The process can be carried out by a monobloo mold
The resistance of the board is given by the reinforced slots
The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention
Drawing 1/5 three figures represent the submerged part of the windsurf board
Figure 1 shows the slots 1,2,3,4,5,6 incises on the carbne- submerged part of the board - They are of ogival shape
F - fin
Figure 2 shows the profile and orientation of the slots 1,2,3,4,5,6.

Figure 3 Section AA 'the angles and the height of slots - x
Drawing 2/3 figure 4 represents the action of the water current L on the slots (1,2,3,4,5,6) and its influence on the board
The water currents push the board, attack the surface of the board, exiting on the slot 6 giving it a pushing action
By the curve of the warhead the current is directed and concoentred towards the niche 5
There is a slight loss of water volume by the ends of slots, at the same time there is another contribution of water flow created by the external parts of the warhead which penetrates at the base of the slots
The transmission of the current on the other slots is progressive on the slots 4-5-6. The water current L is channeled is directed i by the curves of the slots which give the board an advance and a wave direction easily corrected by the Navigator
The movement is concentrated and channeled towards the axis correcting the emotion.

The drawing 3/5 fig 5 shows the segment AA 'profile details of the slots, are action areas created by the influence of the water current L. Section AA 'includes the angle of attack, 2's surface of action, 3' angle of flight, 4 'sliding surface. The current of
L operates on a niche in the following manner t the strongest thrust is exerted on the angle of attack 1 'located at the base of the niche on the entire surface of the warhead 2' noraaae surface i'action. The current concentrates heads for the angle of escape
The current L no longer finding an opposition passes through the sliding surface 4 '
The operation is repeated according to the number of slots, with variation in concentration according to the opening and the height of the warhead 2 '
The drawing 4/5 fig 6, fig 7, fig 8 repeat the same process of the transverse slots of ogival shape applied to the surfboard to improve the disadvantages of the smooth board, of instability, and drift (The surfboard is activated only by the strength of the wave in a point of equilibrium at the top)
With the slots, their opening and their numbers (fig 1, fig 2, fig 3) the board finds a supporting wetter and greater stability dominating the hazardous force of the wave ensuring greater control and speed
The drawing 5 / 'j fie 9, 10 represents the ways of applying surfing
Figure 9 the more the angle of the warhead is closed 900 the more the water concentration is directed towards the axis of the board giving it a stable emotion and limiting the drift
Figure 10 with a warhead at 1B00 the current L is deconcentrated and takes a direction opposite to the axis of the board and a significant leak by the extreluitd of the warhead favoring the manipulation around its are
The opening of the warhead (niche) at 900 or at 1800 applies according to the natural conditions of the places where this sport is practiced
