Abstract

The invention relates to a watch adapted to serve as a support or container for a condom, under optimal conditions of availability, owing to the virtual permanence of these time instruments on the arm of their owner. It consists of a watch in the calibre of which 1, at its lower part, is made an annular space 2, concentric with the movement 11, permitting the housing of a condom of latex type, the specific packaging of which in circular form and the accurate dimensioning of the inside diameter of which allows fixing on either side of the movement by elastic effect. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for prophylactic use against venereal diseases.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device allowing the constant and immediate supply of a latex type condom to its user, in the core of a wristwatch.

 These hygienic accessories, whose undeniable importance today, have no location specially defined for them by their purchaser.

 They can be in the pockets, in the glove compartment of the car, in a pocket, a handbag, etc. As many places where their chance discovery by a third person is not necessarily desirable.

 On the other hand, the unexpected which frequently characterizes encounters which can lead to sexual intercourse, has as a corollary the risk of immediate unavailability of this accessory; The era of outdoor sports and leisure that we are living in often leads us to leave our daily dress, for a more adequate den: tracksuit, swimsuit, ski suit; etc. Most of this equipment does not have pockets to slide in, and above all not to lose or damage the protective accessories mentioned.

 On the other hand, there is nowadays an almost irremovable object, according to the individual in all his activities, even in the conditions of abandoning all clothing (bathing, sauna, naturism, erotic episodes).

 This is the wristwatch, whose current characteristics have widely democratized the use, by significant reduction in manufacturing costs.

On the wrist of its owner, this watch, in its preferred variant, is in no way different, as to its appearance from an ordinary realization
It consists of a middle part (I), the particular embodiment of which leaves the annular space (2) at the periphery of the movement (II). The watch (figure I), is here seen from desious. Figure 2 represents, in section, the same watch
The bracelet, in the preferred variant in terms of synthesis, like the box, but without excluding other materials such as metals for example, is particular in that each of its elements, at the point of junction with the case, ends & its lower part, by a lug (4) integral with each half bracelet element.

 The movement (II) is housed in the center of the middle, and, in the preferred variant, setting the time is said to be "electronic": momentary action on a pusher for conversion of the step-by-step function of the motor of the type Lavet in continuous function, hence rapid correction of the time.

 It is however possible to use a traditional rod movement, but to the detriment of the thinness of the whole: The aforementioned electronic pusher is activated at point 5, by means of a pencil point, a cure - teeth, etc ...

 The condom appears, seen from above, according to Figure 3; the traditional packaging of these objects (very resistant metallic paper, lined inside with a thin plastic film5, is here preserved, but possibly reinforced at its lower part (6); a tongue (3) facilitates opening the package.

 Circular shaping is carried out at the factory, during packaging, and the maintenance of this shape ensured by the rigidity of the metallized paper.

 2 shows the packaged condom, in place on the watch for clarity of the drawing, the cut does not show the condom itself inside its packaging.

 Its installation is carried out very easily by folding up (2), the two half bracelets; which has the effect of freeing the annulus from the annular space (2), hitherto partially closed by the lugs (4). The holding of the condom on the watch is already ensured to a certain extent by the appropriate establishment of the diameters 9 of the middle part, and 10 of the condom (elastic effect).

 By bringing the two half bracelets back to their initial position 8 which is that of wearing the watch, perfect hold will be acquired, and the risk of loss zero.

 In order to be able to auitter the watch without incurring this risk, an appropriate mounting of the half bracelets will be carried out (slight tightening on the case), so that they can only take the open position (7) by voluntary action , determined by the owner, not accidentally.

 The concealment or condom in the middle is the referral variant, but another variant can be envisaged, by its arrangement around the dial to draw an aesthetic benefit and involve the placement and extraction (Figure 4, scale I ).

 The packaging of the condom then requires a particular production: thermoformed elements (12), made of resistant but flexible plastic, receive the condom (I3). These elements are then hermetically sealed by heat sealing or gluing a base (I7), in a material similar to that commonly used for these metallized paper products lined inside with a plastic film). A tab (I6) facilitates tearing.

 Figure 6 shows the element (I2), in section, separated from the watch case (22). The scale I does not lend itself well to the production of the details, a second cut of the same element (12) is made in FIG. 7 on the scale 2.

 The particular shape (15), of the strap attachments to the case, allows the positioning by elastic effect, of the element (12) on the edge (I4) of appropriate shape of the case, to produce the assembly shown in top view. Figure 4, the recesses (23) then being filled by the thermo-formed element (I2).

 Because of the protection offered by this element, the condom (13) itself can be packaged in a lighter packaging, less bulky, or even do without any packaging with rigorous asepsis during the establishment of the bottom (17) .

 For any use, just leave the watch, and take off this back (17), via the tongue (16). The extraction of the empty element (I2) takes place by simple pressure on either side of the dial.

 This second variant can then allow the production of boxes containing the watch and an assortment of condoms as described, of different colors or aspects, with the aim, in addition to prophylaxis, of aesthetic renewal.

Figure 8 shows, in section and to scale 2, another variant;
an annular space (2) is formed in the middle part (21), around the movement (19), protected by a plastic cap called "dust cover" according to watchmaking terminology, and not shown for the clarity of the drawing.

 A pressure base (20), provided with a tab to facilitate its extraction, encloses the condom, which is also annularly wrapped, and with the type of paper usually used.

 In the same spirit, it is possible to use a screwed bottom, with slides, or even with pressure and hinges.

 All the previously described variants take advantage of the round shape of a watch case that surrounds the condom wrapped in a specific, circular manner, so as to cause only a negligible increase in height to the finished product.

 Any realization inserting a condom wrapped in any way, between the movement and the bottom of the case, in a space sufficient to do this, falls within the scope of this request. This achievement is plausible by the use of extra-flat movements, particularly digital.

 Finally, other time instruments such as pocket watches, table watches, bedside watches, pendants, clips are susceptible of these applications.

 The increase in volume of some of these instruments compared to the limited dimensions of their movements then allows greater freedom in the location of, or even condoms.

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended for venereal prophylaxis.
