Abstract

The invention relates to a blocking-off device for promoting ocular exercise when wearing aspherical- or progressive-type correcting lenses. It consists of a self-adhering plastic blocking-off device 1 provided with a precut opening 2 forcing the eye to use a vision channel (corridor), the opening corresponding to the clear vision zone for a given distance with the type of lens used on the pair of spectacles 4. The device according to the invention is particularly indicated for the fitting and use of progressive lenses.

No current system exists
Learning and using corrective lenses, in particular progressive lenses or aspherical lenses, remain problematic. Progressive lenses in particular have a reduced area of clear vision for a precise distance (without spherical aberration). This area is not delimited; the wearer has to find it for himself, which remains the major handicap of this type of glass
The device according to the invention overcomes this drawback. It indeed includes an opaque or semi-transparent self-adhesive shutter provided with an opening corresponding to the useful area of the glass in which the vision remains clear for a precise distance. This opening obliging the eye to use this clear vision corridor
