Abstract

  The present invention relates to a daily date tube.

  It is known that a number of drugs, including Aspirin and its equivalents in their cardiovascular applications, must be taken as a single dose administered daily. It is therefore desirable to have available for these drugs a package for the patient

  to find out if, on a given day, he took his medicine.

  It is also known that most of the medicaments for which the aspirin and its equivalents must, for reasons of stability required by the marketing authorizations, preferably be packaged in a sealed package, said packaging being a tube comprising a stopper completely adapted to said tube thus, thanks to a force entry of the plug (or its skirt) into

  the tube, to ensure the required sealing.

  It therefore seems desirable to have a tube, comprising a plug with force input, which can be used as a packaging for a drug to be taken daily, said tube having a date device for locating the day of

  taking (or depending on the users of the day of the next taking).

  The daily date tube according to the invention is characterized in that the plug of the tube has on its upper face a distinctive sign such as preferably an arrow, on its peripheral edge a notch located in the extension of said distinctive sign and on the upper part. of the tube, which will remain visible when the stopper is put, the indication of the days of the week. According to a possible additional characteristic, the tube itself comprises, along a generatrix, at least one transparent or diaphanous window bearing successive marks whose spacing corresponds to the thickness of each of the tablets packaged in said tube. Thus, the disappearance of successive tablets, during their daily consumption, can be controlled also by identifying, from the day of the beginning of the

  consumption, the number of tablets present and remaining in the tube. The following nonlimiting example illustrates the invention; this tube is designed for drug delivery during a

  week; it is represented in the single figure.

  In this figure we see: - in 1 a tube as used for the packaging of drugs in tablet form, for example aspirin tablets, - in 2 the plug of said tube. This cap has an upper face, an inner skirt which enters forcefully into the tube and

  an outer skirt (or a simple outer crown).

  in 3, on the upper face of the stopper, a distinctive sign which is here an arrow; the outer skirt of the plug comprises, corresponding exactly with said arrow, a noticeable notch represented in 4, in 5 on the upper part of the tube 1 the indication of the days of the week, - in 6 according to a generator of the tube was made a transparent window (or diaphanous) to see the inside of the tube.   The use of the date tube according to the invention is simple; when the patient has consumed his daily tablet, he positions, by rebunching the tube, the arrow (and the notch) in

  face of the next day, that is to say the day he will have to take his next tablet because experience has shown that in the case of a drug whose dosage is taken once a day, for several months, it arrives fairly frequently that the patient does not remember, because of the repetitive gesture, whether he took his tablet that day or the day before; however, small daily doses of medication are effective only when the dosage is well respected. On the other hand, in use, it can check, depending on the day it started

  his treatment, the number of tablets he has consumed.

  It should be noted that it is perfectly possible to use this date tube even in the case where the periodicity of setting of the

drug is several days.

Date tube according to claim 1, characterized in that the tube itself comprises, along a generatrix at least one transparent or diaphanous window (6) carrying successive marks whose spacing corresponds to the thickness of each of the   tablets packaged in said tube.
