Abstract

The subject of the present invention is a device for paying for traffic violations on the site of the offence. It consists of the combination of a violation form 5 including perforations or a magnetised strip and of a wall-mounted or pillar-mounted enclosure 1, equipped with an electronic payment terminal including at least one credit-card reader 2, a means of automatically reading the traffic violation possibly being combined with the card reader 4, a receipt issuer 9, and a data communications link with the computer tasked with managing the collection of fines. It may be completed by an alphanumeric screen 6 and a numeric or alphanumeric keyboard 7 intended to allow a dialogue with the user. It is intended to equip public parking sites and in particular pay parking sites, in order to improve the conditions for payment for traffic violations by allowing the use of credit cards.
