This washer, which is intended to be interposed between the connection areas 3a, 4a of two lugs 3, 4, comprises an annular central core 2a made of electrically conducting material, at the end of each face of which there are asperities 7 capable of breaking the possibly oxidised layers of the connection areas 3a, 4a of the lugs 3, 4 and which is entirely covered by an outer case 2b made of a material which is at least slightly elastic and electrically insulating, the thickness of the case 2b covering each asperity of the central core 2a being determined so that, when clamping the washer 2 between the connection areas 3a, 4a of the lugs 3, 4, the asperities 7 of the central core 2a pass through it and penetrate, at least partially, into the connection areas 3a, 4a, the case 2b sealing the contact zones between the asperities 7 of the central core 2a and the connection areas 3a, 4a of the lugs 3, 4.

On sait que, lorsqu'elles sont soumises à lthumidité, les surfaces en contact de deux pièces assemblées, respectivement en aluminium et en cuivre, sont le siège d'une corrosion susceptible de s'opposer au passage du courant électrique.
