Abstract

This device comprises, on the one hand, horizontal supports provided with vertical brackets capable of being detachably attached to fixed uprights, and, on the other hand, baskets or other receptacles made of metal wires intended to receive the products to be presented. In this device, the horizontal supports 1 are provided with hooks 13 and stops 14 suitable for securing the receptacles 15 arranged thereon in place. The hooks 13 thus provided are open in the direction opposite to the fixing uprights 2 of the horizontal supports and they are capable of engaging on at least one of the longitudinal wires 21 of the bottom 20 of the corresponding receptacles 15. As for the stops 14, they are arranged so as to be placed behind another longitudinal wire 21 from the bottom of these receptacles. These are advantageously formed by elements 15 without end walls and capable of being connected continuously by junction elements.

Description

Device for presenting various goods and products, in particular

  in sales stores' The present invention relates to devices for displaying various goods and products,

  especially in sales stores.

  More specifically, it relates to presentation devices of the type commonly known as "gondolas". In general, these devices comprise on the one hand horizontal supports provided with vertical brackets capable of being removably hung on fixed uprights, and on the other hand baskets or other receptacles intended to be placed on these supports

  horizontal to receive the products to be presented.

  Usually these baskets or other receptacles affect the general shape of a trough whose front wall is of lower height than the other walls in order to

  allow easy access to the interior.

  In the devices currently used, baskets or other receptacles are simply placed on the horizontal supports. However, this solution has the disadvantage that these receptacles can be moved in an untimely manner under the effect of the manipulations of the customers of a store. Possibly this can cause the fall of one or more of these receptacles, and this in particular when their horizontal supports consist simply of two beams carried by end brackets. Furthermore, when instead of baskets are provided receptacles without end walls and intended to be arranged one after the other, the inadvertent movement of one of them allows the contained products to escape in

  the gap thus formed between two receptacles.

  This is why the subject of the present invention is a presentation device of the type under consideration, but which is designed so as to eliminate the drawbacks exposed above. To this end, this device is characterized in that the horizontal supports provided therein are provided with hooks and stops capable of ensuring the fixing in place of the receptacles arranged thereon, the hooks thus provided being opened in in the direction opposite to the mounting uprights of the horizontal supports and being capable of engaging on at least one of the longitudinal wires from the bottom of the corresponding receptacles, while the stops are arranged so as to be placed behind another wire

  longitudinal from the bottom of these receptacles.

  Thus, the receptacles for the products to be presented are fixed on the corresponding horizontal supports, which prevents them from any possibility of inadvertent movement. However, the fixing means provided for this purpose allow easy installation of receptacles on their supports and disassembly just as easy. In an advantageous embodiment of the present device, the receptacles intended to receive the products to be presented consist of metal wire elements having the general shape, of a sort of trough devoid of end walls, and it is provided in combination of the elements of Junction in wires, metallic having substantially the same shape and at least some of the longitudinal wires of which terminate in projecting hooks capable of hanging on some of the transverse wires of two receptacles arranged one after the other

  on the other with variable spacing.

  Thus these junction elements ensure perfect continuity between the different receptacles. This has the advantage of giving a particularly aesthetic appearance to the entire presentation device. However, this also has the advantage of allowing greater flexibility in the use of receptacles by allowing them to be subdivided into compartments of any length, depending on the case and application, and this simply by moving the removable partitions provided elsewhere in

these receptacles.

  As already indicated, the device according to the invention comprises a series of horizontal supports 1 removably fixed on vertical uprights 2 secured to a base or fixed against a wall, covering panels (not shown) being arranged between these uprights. On their front face, these comprise a succession of slots 3 of elongated shape which are regularly spaced, these being intended to receive the hooks for fixing the horizontal supports 1. As it appears clearly from FIG. 1 , each of these supports is constituted by two horizontal beams 4a and 4b, arranged one behind the other with a determined spacing, and the ends of which are fixed on brackets each designated by the general reference 5. Each of the beams 4a or 4b is constituted by two tubes respectively 6a, 6b and 7a, 7b which are engaged one inside the other telescopically. This allows the width of each horizontal support to be adjusted as desired according to the spacing provided between the

vertical uprights 2.

  Each bracket 5 is formed by a bent metal wire 8, the ends of which are fixed to a vertical plate 9 made of sheet metal. The external vertical edge of this plate comprises, at its upper part, a cut-out hook 10 able to be engaged in one of the openings 3 of an upright 2. At its lower part, this same edge also comprises a protuberance 11 d 'support. Against the branches of the wire 8 of each bracket are attached two vertical metal legs 12a and 12b on which are fixed by welding the corresponding ends of the

stringers l4a and 4b.

  The upper ends of the two legs 12a and 12b protrude above the upper branch of the wire 8 of the corresponding bracket. As can be seen in FIG. 1, the upper end of the rear legs 12a is cut in the form of a hook 13 open in the direction opposite to that of the fixing plate 9 of the corresponding bracket. As for the upper end 14 of the front legs 12b, it simply constitutes a protruding stud capable of serving as an immobilization stop, as will be explained below. In combination with the horizontal supports described above, the present device comprises a series of receptacles 15 made of metal wires which are intended to receive the products to be presented. These receptacles have the general shape of a presentation trough, the front wall 16 of which has a lower height than that of the rear wall 17 in order to facilitate access to the interior. In addition, this front wall has an upper edge 18 inclined forward and whose role will be explained later. The bottom 20 of each of these receptacles, as well as the front and rear walls, are constituted by crossed metal wires. Some 21 stretch without meaning

  longitudinal and the others 22 in the transverse direction.

  The arrangement is such that when placing a receptacle 15 on a horizontal support 1, one of the longitudinal wires 21 of its bottom 20 can be engaged in the two hooks 13 carried by the end brackets 5 of the corresponding horizontal support 1. When the installation of a receptacle 15 is completed, the projecting studs 14 carried by the end brackets 5 are then placed in front of another longitudinal wire 21 of the bottom 20 of this receptacle (see FIG. 2). This ensures perfect immobilization of the receptacle on its

support.

  To carry out the establishment of this receptacle, it suffices to present it initially in a slightly inclined position in order to engage the corresponding longitudinal wire 21 from its bottom 20 in the hooks 13 without the protruding studs 14 then constituting a discomfort. It should be noted that the spacing E provided between the hooks 13 and the projecting studs 14 is determined by taking account of the interval existing between the wires

  longitudinal 21 from the bottom 20 of the receptacles 15.

  These receptacles may have a greater or lesser length. Since there is generally a 1000 or 1300 mm spacing module between the uprights 2 of a presentation gondola, the length of the

  baskets can be for example 985 mm or 1285 mm.

  Under these conditions when a series of receptacles 15 are arranged one after the other at the same level, there are more or less large intervals between them. To ensure continuity between these receptacles, provision is therefore made for junction elements.

  These elements are constituted by metallic wires crisscrossed in the same way as receptacles 15 and

  they also affect the general shape of a trough.

  However, these elements are obviously of limited length. To allow the fixing of these elements on two successive receptacles 15, the ends of the longitudinal wires 24 of these elements end in projecting hooks 25 and 26 capable of hanging on the

  transverse wires 22 from two successive receptacles 15.

  However, the hooks 25 provided at one end are bent, while the hooks 26 provided at the opposite end are not. This makes it possible to very easily mount a junction element 23 between two successive receptacles 15. Optionally the longitudinal wires 24 of these elements can be made of a metal that is sufficiently malleable for the hooks 26

  can be bent after fixing in place.

  It should also be observed that, depending on the length of the gap between two successive receptacles 15, the end hooks 25 and 26 of the Junction elements can be hung either on the transverse wires located at the very end of the receptacles 15 , or on transverse wires set back. Consequently with only one type of Junction 23 elements it is possible to fill a more or less large gap. When the junction elements 23 are in place, they form an absolutely continuous assembly with the receptacles 15 located at the same level. The continuity of appearance of this assembly can be supplemented by the installation of a profile 27 on the free edge of the rim 18 of the various receptacles 15 corresponding to it. On this subject it should be noted that the elements of Junction 23 are devoid of such an inclined rim 18. Consequently the profile 27 ensures continuity between the different receptacles 15, since it is a continuous profile of a single holding which is threaded on the front edge of all the receptacles 15 located at the same level. This profile constitutes a continuity edge which can be deformed to adapt to differences in the positions of two successive receptacles 15. In addition, the front face of this profile is advantageously shaped so as to constitute a slide 28 inside which

  display labels may be engaged.

  To allow the subdivision of a receptacle assembly 15 into several compartments, partition walls 29 are provided, each consisting of a

  wire grid with a frame.

  Some of the sides of the latter carry several projecting elements 30 affecting the shape of two bridges spaced by an interval 31. Thus this element can be fitted astride one of the transverse wires 22 of a receptacle 15, or even on the one of the transverse wires of a Junction element 23, the corresponding transverse wire coming to be housed in the gap 31. This therefore makes it possible to fix the partition walls 29 in any desired position so as to constitute separate compartments of more or less lengths. less important. In addition, it is possible at any time to modify the number and length of these compartments by changing accordingly

  the position of the partition walls 29.

  The presentation device thus formed has the advantage of allowing greater flexibility of use than the devices formed from baskets provided with end walls. In fact, it is possible to make storage compartments of varying lengths, and to subsequently modify the number and arrangement thereof at any time. Claims (8)

  1. Device for presenting various goods and products, in particular in sales stores, of the type comprising on the one hand horizontal supports provided with vertical brackets capable of being removably hung on fixed uprights, and on the other part of baskets or other receptacles made of metal wires intended to receive the products to be presented, characterized in that the horizontal supports (1) are provided with hooks (13) and stops (14) capable of securing the receptacles in place ( 15) arranged thereon, the hooks (13) thus provided being open in the direction opposite to the uprights (2) for fixing the horizontal supports and being capable of engaging on at least one of the longitudinal wires (21) from the bottom (20) of the corresponding receptacles (15), while the stops (14) are arranged so as to be placed behind another longitudinal wire (21) from the bottom of these receptacles. 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the hooks (13) and the stops (14) provided on the horizontal supports (1) consist of the projecting upper ends of elements carried by the vertical brackets (5) making part of these supports.   3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that each horizontal support (1) comprises two telescopic beams (4a, 4b) extending between its vertical brackets (5) for attachment, and each of the latter consists of a bent metal wire (8) against the arms of which are attached, with appropriate spacing, two vertical tabs (12a, 12b) serving as fixing supports for the ends of the two horizontal beams (4a, 4b) of the corresponding support. 4. Device according to claim 3, characterized in that the upper ends of the vertical tabs (12a, 12), attached to each bracket -d'accrochage (5) of a support. horizontal (1), protrude above the upper edge of the corresponding bracket to constitute respectively the hook (13) and the stop (14) provided on this bracket.   5. Device according to one of claims   above, characterized in that the receptacles intended to receive the products to be presented consisting of elements (15) of metal wires affecting the general shape of a sort of trough devoid of end walls, it is provided in combination of the elements junction (23) of metal wires having substantially the same shape and at least some of the longitudinal wires (24) of which terminate in projecting hooks (25, 26) capable of being hooked on some of the transverse wires (22) of two receptacles (15) arranged one at a time   following each other with variable spacing.   6. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the projecting hooks (25) provided at one end of the junction elements (23) are bent, while the hooks (26) provided at   the opposite end are not.   7. Device according to one of claims 5 and   6, characterized in that the front wall (16) of the receptacles (15), which has a lower height than the rear wall, has a flange (18) inclined towards the front and a profile (27) is provided in at least slightly flexible material which is capable of being adapted on the rim (18) thus provided on several successive receptacles (15), in order to constitute a continuous front edge, this profile being advantageously shaped to   can also receive display labels.   8.
