Abstract

The invention relates to a crankshaft for a V engine with a two-stroke combustion cycle driving a pair of connecting rods and including, at the middle of the big end crank pin, a sealing disc whose centre of gravity with respect to its axis of rotation is off-centred in order to stiffen the crank pin as it deforms. It consists on the one hand of the conventional elements, the ends 1 and 2, the balancing cheeks 3 and 4, the crank pin 5 and, on the other hand, of the sealing disc 6 having a centre of gravity G which is off-centred with respect to the geometric axis of rotation 7 and its seal 8 separating the two pump cases 9 and 10. During the rotation of the crankshaft the deformation of the crank pin under the action of the big ends is minimized, in absolute value, by the action of centrifugal force created by the sealing disc and acting on the middle of the crank pin.
