Abstract

Method for reproducing marks on a plane surface, characterised in that it involves making a photocopy on a sheet 1 of the mark to be reproduced, applying the face 3 of this sheet 1, provided with a photocopied mark, to the face 5 of the surface 4 intended for receiving the said mark, coating the free face of the sheet with a substance capable of detaching the mark from the face 3 of the sheet 1, and, after a drying time, separating the sheet 1 from the surface 4.

Description

 The present invention provides a method for ia reproduction of signs on piano surfaces, for example, glass, porcelain, wood, stone, metal, plastic or other surfaces.

 One of the aims of the present invention is to carry out a very simple process, inexpensive and which makes it possible to reproduce portraits, photographs, coats of arms, etc. , giving the reproduction - an artistic aspect resembling lithography.

 The method according to the invention consists in making a photocopy on a sheet of the sign to be reproduced, in applying the face of this sheet provided with the photocopied sign on the face of the surface intended to receive this sign, in coating the free face with the leaf of a substance capable of detaching the sign from the face of the leaf and after drying time; to separate the sheet from the surface.

It is understood that the method according to the invention is inexpensive and that it makes it possible very quickly to reproduce various trek drawings.

 To facilitate the transfer, the face of the flat surface intended to receive the sign is previously cleaned and heated; --- For this cleaning, it is possible to use, for example, a mixture of trichlorethylene and Meudon white.

 Preferably, the sheet is heated before separating it from the flat surface.

 Preferably, the planar surface is preheated before applying the sheet provided with the photocopied sign.

 Finally, as a substance capable of detaching the sign from the corresponding face of the sheet, a mixture of trichlorethylene and a liquid detacher is used.

The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to a particular embodiment given by way of example only and shown in the accompanying drawings, in which
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the original photocopy.

 Figures 2 to 5 illustrate the process.

 Figure 6 is a perspective view of the reproduction obtained.

 In FIG. 1, a photocopy 2 has been shown made on one side 3 of a sheet of paper 1.

 In Figure 2, there is shown a plate 4, this plate may be of any material, glass, plastic or other. A plate has been shown here, but a flexible sheet could also be used.

 The reference 5 designates the face of the plate A intended to receive the design 2 carried by the sheet 1.

Side 5 is perfectly cleaned, wiped and dried.

For this cleaning, trichlorethylene can be used with "blanc de Meudon".

 The face 5 is then subjected to the action of heat for about ten to thirty seconds with a forced air generator 6, the hot air being at a temperature of the order of 400C to 800C. (fig. 2).

 On the face 5, the face 3 of the sheet 1 is applied (fig. 3), then on the free face of the sheet 1 a layer 7 of a product is spread (fig. 4) capable of detaching the ink from a photocopy of the sheet 1 so that it is transferred to the face 5 of the plate 4.

 The product can consist of a simple mixture of trichlorethylene and a liquid detacher known as "scarlet water", this mixture being stored protected from light.

 The face 3 of the sheet 1 is then subjected to the action of heat with a generator 9, then the sheet 1 is separated from the plate 4.

 There is thus obtained on the face 5 of the plate the drawing 2a which, of course, is upside down with respect to the original drawing. If you want to obtain the drawing in the same direction as the original, you must first make a photocopy on a transparent sheet and after having turned it over make a second photocopy which will constitute the basic proof.

 The invention makes it possible to reproduce on various surfaces such as glass, porcelain, ceramic, paper, wood, cardboard, plaster, iron, stone, etc., caligraphy or other drawings, the result obtained having an artistic side close to lithography.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment which has just been described and shown. Many modifications of detail can be made without departing from the scope of the invention.

Claims (3)

 1 - Process for reproducing signs on a flat surface, characterized in that it consists of making a photocopy on a sheet (1) of the sign to be reproduced, applying ia face (3) to this sheet (1) provided with the sign photocopied (2) on the face (5) of the surface (4) intended to receive said sign, to coat the free face of the leaf with a substance capable of detaching the sign of the face (3) from the leaf (1 ) and after a drying time, to separate the sheet (1) from the surface (4).  2 - A method of reproducing signs on a flat surface, according to claim 1, characterized in that the face 5 of the flat surface intended to receive the sign is cleaned and heated beforehand.  - A method of reproducing signs on a flat surface, according to claim 1, characterized in that one proceeds to a heating of the sheet before separating from the flat surface (4).  4 - A method of reproducing signs on a flat surface, according to ia claim 1, characterized in that one proceeds to a preheating of the flat surface (4) before applying ia sheet (I) provided with the photocopied sign (2).  - A method of reproducing signs on a flat surface, according to claim 1, characterized in that as a substance capable of detaching the sign from the corresponding face of the sheet, a mixture of tri-chiorethyiene and a liquid detacher is used.
