Abstract

>Dental treatment instrument which is to fulfil for a practitioner the three functions of retraction, vision illumination and suction of the operating field, characterised by a tubular handle 12, 22, 32 of a length of approximately 10 cm for a diameter of 10 mm. This handle is hollow and bent in the shape of a bayonet for a better handgrip. It can be connected to the surgical suction at 14, 24, 34 and is extended at its other end by a tunnel 16, 26 included in the spoon-shaped part of the instrument. This highly widened portion is relatively flat, although slightly concave. It incorporates the double-sided mirror 11, 21, 31 whilst acting as a spatula by virtue of its rounded edges whose non-limiting shape must allow good retraction of the mucosa.
