Abstract

The subject of the invention relates to the generic technical sector of prostheses and in particular hip prostheses. The rod according to the invention is particularly noteworthy by the presence of a torsion in the metaphyseal part of the rod, contained between B-B1 and C-C1, which makes it possible spontaneously to obtain anteversion of the neck, cephalic portion contained between A-A1 and B-B1, thus reproducing the exact anatomy of the femur, ensuring optimal filling of the femoral cavity, resulting in multidirectional self-immobilisation of the rod in the medullary cavity of the femur. The invention applies to femoral rods of all types and sizes.
