Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a gymnastic apparatus comprising a berth,

  a hermetically closed protective envelope foldably connected to the berth and partially enclosing the user, a fan with a heating device intended to temper the interior space of the protective envelope with a current of air, and devices for training with cable ties that the user can touch with his hands and / or feet and do gymnastic exercises against a

antagonistic force.

  For example, DE-A 21 17 531 discloses a gymnastic bicycle receiving the user partially in the interior space of a housing to which a heating fan is connected. Such a gymnastic bicycle is intended to reinforce the weight loss of the user during a treatment by sweating by body work. Proper muscle training with such a disposition is not

neither envisaged nor possible.

  By French patents 1,204,523 and 1,278,001 we know sweat devices in which the user is enclosed in a heatable envelope by a stream of heated air, without having the possibility

  to do gymnastic exercises.

  In another gymnastic apparatus known according to German patent 23 03 970, the user is in an inflatable envelope by a temperate air stream on a berth provided with driving devices to which the user can touch with the hands and / or feet. These drive devices include cable ties loaded with adjustable weights. Another muscular training device known according to European patent 0,054,080 consists of a generally cross frame, on which the user can appropriately train determined muscles in the most diverse body positions. At this end, spring chambers are provided on the different arms of the frame for a spiral spring at the same time - having an essentially linear characteristic and applied to a drum.

  The gymnastic apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that the protective envelope consists of a rigid casing with openings at opposite ends, that a program control is provided to regulate the air flow generated by the fan and the temperature thereof, and that the 1 berth has for each cable tie a spring chamber with a drum mounted rotatably and on which is wound the cable tie, which is unwound during gymnastic exercises by the user against the force of a spiral spring with

  an essentially linear characteristic.

  The rigid boot, which preferably comprises an articulated frame on one side of the berth, can be very easily placed by a lifting movement in an open position in which the interior of the rigid boot and the berth are easily accessible. The handling of the gymnastic apparatus, for example when changing

  of the user, is considerably facilitated.

  The program control provided in the gymnastics apparatus. which advantageously comprises a programmable timer and, if necessary, in addition a programmable control device coupled to the timer for controlling an electric fan heating device, allows very easily and above all reproducible adjustment of the heating periods and cooling during gymnastic exercises of the user in adaptation to the requirements of the respective user. Thus, the handling of the gymnastic apparatus is considerably facilitated, and it is ensured that the mode of operation of the gymnastic apparatus is optimally and individually matched to the requirements of

the respective user.

  The equipment of the berth of the gymnastic apparatus according to the invention with a cable tie actuated against the force of the spiral spring present with respect to known weight loads, the advantage that the movements of stress and relaxation of the muscles are carried out under an antagonistic force which changes regularly. Thanks to the essentially linear characteristic 1 of the spiral spring, it is obtained that the extension of the spring always changes by an equal amount, regardless of the state of charge, in

  case of action by a specific force.

  An exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawings and is explained and described above in

reference to numbers.

  In the schematic side view of Figure 1 we recognize a berth 1 and on one end of the berth 1 a headrest 2 for the user. A rigid housing 3 is provided on its lower side with a frame 4 articulated by hinges 5 on the upper side of the berth 1. The berth 1 is provided with stops not visible in the drawing, which limit the pivoting angle of the housing 3 during its raising movement. On the opposite side of the berth 1, fixings can be provided, which hold the housing 3 to the berth 1 in its

closed position.

  The case 3 is provided with openings at the two opposite ends or fronts. At the end opposite the headrest 2, the housing 3 is provided with a conventional closing device not visible in the drawing, for example in the form of a curtain or a cape, which is placed on the neck of the user who is on the berth. On the opposite end of the housing 3 is a fan 7 of conventional construction provided with an electric heating device 1 and directed into the interior space enclosed by the housing 3. The fan 7 with the heating device 6 can however also be placed at another suitable location on the housing 3 or, if there are air passage openings

  corresponding, also to berth 1.

  The rigid housing 3 carries, at the illustrated location, a program control 10 which, if necessary, can also be arranged at the head of the housing 3 or also at the berth 1 in the user's viewing range. The program control 10 can be adapted manually using punch cards or in any other conventional manner to the requirements of the respective user. It includes a programmable timer 11 and a programmable control device 12 coupled thereto for the electric heater 6 of the appliance 7, as well as a step switch 13 for the air flow from the fan 7. The program control 10 includes the usual components for such apparatus and is therefore not described in detail. It is adapted so that the heating and cooling process sequence and also the intensity of the heating and the air flow is adapted to the sequence of gymnastic exercises of the respective user and can be set reproducibly for each individual user. The temperature of the rigid housing 3 is thus optimally adapted to

needs of the respective user.

  In the perspective view of Figure 2 we recognize the berth 1 and the headrest 2. The rigid housing 3 is removed from the berth 1. The berth I is supported by supports 14 on the bottom and provided on the upper side of handles 15 for the user. The berth 1 is provided with two pairs of passage openings 20 and 21 through which 1 extend the associated cable ties 22, 23, 24 and 25. At the ends above the berth 1, the cable ties 22, 23,24,25 carry appropriate handles 26,27,28 and 29. Each cable tie 22,23,24 and 25 opens into a spring chamber 30 below the berth 1. The spring chambers 30 are fixed to the berth 1 in the area of the forehead opposite to the headrest 2, but they can also be arranged at each other appropriate place of the berth 1. The pair 20 of passage openings is arranged so that the user can grasp handles 22 and 23 with their hands. The pair 21 of passage openings is arranged so that

  the user can grasp the handles with their feet.

  In the illustration of Figure 2 only one of the spring chambers 30 and the associated cable tie 22

is visible.

  The spring chamber 30 is illustrated in Figures 3 and 4 in different section views. The spring chamber 30 is closed on a wide side by a cover 31. In the illustrated embodiment the cover 31 covers only part of the wide side; on the inner side the cover 31 bears on one of the short sides of the clamping angles 32 and on

  the other small side of clamping tongues (non

  illustrated) which grip a sub-element connected in a non-detachable manner to the spring chamber 30. The cover 31 furthermore has a hole for a fixing group 33 projecting from the opposite wide side of the spring chamber 30, a handle 34 being screwed on the free end of the fixing group. The spring chamber 30 can also be closed by a cover fixed differently, if necessary by a folding cover. Next to the fixing group 33, two spaced supports 34 ′ project from the same wide side in the interior of the 7- spring chamber 30, these supports being formed in the embodiment illustrated by welded angles. The spring chamber 30 receives a spring box 35 comprising a spiral spring (not shown) and gripping at one end with an eye 36 on the fixing group 33. The spring case 35 is supported by the supports 34 'and is thus located with one side tightly below the cover 31. A central shaft 37 passes through the spring housing 35 and at the end opposite the cover 31, it is adapted to the gear with a tension element 38 projecting through a hole in the cover to the outside and carrying a hand wheel 39. The hand wheel 39 and the cover 31 can, if necessary, bear marks with the help of which the rotary position of the hand wheel 39 can be determined. On the other side of the spring box 35, the central shaft 37 is fixed by a fixing spring 31 which is twisted around an element of the central shaft 37 projecting from the spring box 35, one of which of the ends is anchored in a fixing 41, while the other end forms a disengaging member 42. The supports 34 ′ determine in the spring chamber 30 the space for receiving these elements of the spring housing 35. A disengaging element 34 directed to the disengaging member 42 extends by a small side of the spring chamber 30, this disengaging element being, in the illustrated embodiment, a rod 46 provided at the outer end with a control button 44 and guided in a straight guide 45. The cable tie 22 exits from the end of the spring housing 35 opposite the eye 36. The spring housing 35 comprises a spiral spring; spiral spring arrangement can be obtained commercially including training and B

  fixing the central shaft 37 (Desoutter Bros.

  Ltd., Hendon, London NW 9; Model no. 4-d) and is therefore not described in detail. In order to better explain the operation of the spiral spring arrangement, it should however be mentioned that the central shaft 37 is rotatable relative to the spring housing 35, and that one end of the spiral spring is anchored to the central shaft 37 and l other end to the inner circumference of a drum rotatably mounted on the central shaft 37 and on the outer circumference of which the cable tie 22 is wound. The spiral spring can thus be tensioned by unwinding the cable tie 22 in the event of rotation of the drum relative to the central shaft 37, but also by turning the central shaft 37 relative to the drum by means of the hand wheel 39. By rotation of the central shaft 37 the spiral spring is pretended relative to the drum so that the unwinding of the cable tie from the drum requires greater force. In this case, the spiral spring can however be relaxed by applying the disengaging element 43 to the disengaging member 42; the central shaft 37 is then released from the action of the fixing spring 40 so that the central shaft 37 can rotate relative to the drum under the action of the

  spiral spring until it relaxes.

  The cable tie 22 crosses the guide 50. The guide 50 is included in a support 51 of a generally rectangular cross section which is open at two opposite sides. Thus is formed a chamber constituting the true guide 50 formed of a frame 55 fixedly inserted in the chamber and receiving the guide elements, the frame being open towards the guide 50 and towards the handle 26 of the cable tie 22. The elements of guide are formed by two parallel guide pulleys 47 arranged horizontally one above the other and between which is guided the puller with 1 cable 22, and by a guide pulley 57 partially covering them and extending pendicularly to these, the cable tie 22

being guided at its circumference.

  The guide pulley 57 is located on the side of the frame 55 opposite the spring chamber 30. Each guide pulley 56, 57 is rotatably mounted on the frame 55. This can be obtained differently; in the illustrated embodiment, the groups 58 illustrated only indicatively are used for this purpose, these groups being inserted in the frame 55 and placed on the bearings (not shown) in the fronts of the guide pulleys 56, 57. As is best seen in FIG. 4, the walls of the frame 55 in which the guide pulley 57 is mounted, are provided with sections 59 extending in their depth until covering part of the circumference of the guide pulleys 56, and the guide pulley 57 is arranged so that its circumference projects outwards beyond the frame 55. By forming the guide 50, almost frictionless and thus resistance-free guidance is obtained from the cable tie 22 so that for its movement it does not must overcome that the force of the spiral spring. In addition, the arrangement of the guide pulleys 56, 57 allows the cable tie 22 to be moved in three directions perpendicular to one another, without any contact of edges being caused during movements in these directions. or their combinations. Claims (10)

  1. Gymnastics apparatus comprising a berth, a hermetically closed protective envelope connected to the berth in a foldable manner and partially enclosing the user, a fan with a heating device intended to temper the interior space of the protective envelope with a current of air, and training devices with cable ties to which the user can touch with the hands and / or the feet and do gymnastic exercises against an opposing force, characterized in that the protective envelope consists of a rigid housing with openings at opposite ends, that a program control is provided to regulate the air flow generated by the fan and the temperature thereof, and that the berth has a chamber for each cable puller spring with a drum mounted rotatably on which is wound the cable tie, and which is unwound during gymnastic exercises by the user contr e the force of a spiral spring with an essentially linear characteristic. 1 2. Apparatus-gymnastics according to claim 7, characterized in that each spring chamber intended to receive a spring case both comprising the spiral spring, can be closed on one side by a cover, that each spring chamber has a tension element applied to the central shaft of the spiral spring and intended to adjust a variable prestressing of the spiral spring, that the cable tie can be unwound from a rotary drum relative to the central shaft against the force of the spiral spring, that the tension element forms an extension of the central shaft passing through the cover and having a hand wheel, and that the detent mechanism has a disengaging member releasing the central shaft and thus relaxing the spiral spring, and a disengaging element applied against this one and protruding from the spring chamber.   9.
