Abstract

The object of the invention is the production of a practice brush for golf use, of very strict precise design, in which each of the brushes forming an assembly is mutually interchangeable as they are assembled by means of a traversing rod located in the thickness of the base. Moreover, the height of the fibres implanted vertically on the base, the choice of their size and the density of their implanting contribute to the extremely good resistance to impacts of the clubs, by compression of the fibres, preventing damage caused by the tearing-out of material, whilst preserving the flatness of the struck surface and exceptional playing comfort (convenience).

Description of the invention, called PRACTICE BRUSH
The attached Patent and Protection request relates to the design and production of a PRACTICE BRUSH that can be used in all golf clubs already equipped with conventional systems or not.

It is a solid assembly, composed in the lower part of a base (A) and a more flexible upper part (B) composed of fibers anchored in the base according to the principle of the brush.

The base can be either marine plywood or rigid Brassier-type P.V.C.

It is made up of a combination of small brushes 10 cm wide, assembled together by means of 2 clamping rods (C) bolted to their ends.

The advantage of such an assembly lies in the fact that it allows the interchangeability of the brushes between them, thus making it possible to use all of the brushes, and no longer the only central brush.

So the brush has better profitability, and in the case of a standard 30 cm brush, we can say that it will last three times longer.

This principle also allows the creation of a central strip (D) called a wear strip, which can be differentiated by the color of the other juxtaposed strips.

The assembly thus formed may have a width of 10 cm, 20 cm or 30 cm at most, always in multiples of 10 cm.

The length of the assembly can be between 50 cm and 1 m.

The thickness of the base depends on the height of the fibers used, and can vary from 1 cm to 3 cm.

On one side of the base, holes are made to receive the appropriate tufts of fibers (E), and giving the assembly thus in place, a density approaching that of natural grass, and which can be adjusted as desired. .

These tufted fibers near the base, abound with their height, and as they all have the same height, they offer a perfect surface (F) in flatness and density.

Thus, a golf ball positioned at any point on this surface is found in the same conditions as if it were placed on thick grass.

We can therefore choose precisely the most suitable height, which determines among other things, a choice of more or less great flexibility of the brushes.

This adjustable density, and the length of the fibers, makes it possible to envisage making more or less firm practice brushes depending on the use to be made of them.

So that the juxtaposition of the bases does not let appear on the surface a harmful space between the adjoining fibers of each brush, the fixing holes made on the sides of each base, are inclined towards the outside, in order to cause a uniform expansion of the fibers surface.

The choice of material from which the fibers come, determines the durability of the brush, and obviously has an impact on its cost.

Thus, it is possible to make an economic type brush, using a P.V.C. type material, however offering the advantage of a possible coloring (white or green).

On the other hand, it is possible to make a practically inusab brush using Rilsan fibers, or high resistance nylon, offering 1 better guarantees of longevity to the whole; its cost is increased.

The advantage of such a process, compared to conventional practice mats, lies in the following points - Greater durability and increased reliability by the very design of the
brush, and the choice of materials.

When clubs hit the surface, there is no more penetration
in the material, but sliding along the fibers, therefore absence
direct impact and overheating.

- This leakage of fibers during typing, provides unrivaled comfort
to date regarding the player, but also allows larger
errors of appreciation on the part of novice players, saving by
the same their clubs.

- In the case of confirmed players, this flexibility allows to pass
the club head under the ball, in order to better lift it like in a bun
ker.

The authorized gesture is much more technical than on a density carpet
current.

- In the case of a violent hammering of the surface by a beginner player,
the fibers lie down and cause a quilting phenomenon, avoiding
both the direct impact on the base.

The density of the fibers allows the installation of a "class" tee

The over-extended dimension of the brush prevents the degradation of that

The interchangeability of the brushes between them, increases the duration

It is possible to fix the brush permanently in a frame, and to re
cover the assembly with a lockable lid, when not in use
reading.

The innovation relates to the very precise production of each of the brushes constituting an assembly, namely the density of the anchoring holes on the base, as well as the principle of assembly by through bolt.

Unique figure: For a 30 cm wide X 60 cm long brush, it is made by assembling 3 brushes 10 cm wide X 60 cm long, made of a PVC base of shatterproof polypropylene brush and rot-proof.

The mechanical packing for mounting the fibers is staggered by non-through holes of 4.5 mm in the thickness of the base. The center line of the holes is 8 mm by 13 rows by 10 cm wide and over the entire length of the brush.

The rows of peripheral holes of. each brush is inclined outwards in order to fill the joint ownership of the bases and obtain better surface expansion.

The holes are filled with SAC 40 / 100e fibers in rilsan up to 50/100
For economical mounting, the filling is made of 40/100 PVC fibers with the possibility of white or green coloring.

The protruding length of the fibers without base is 40 mm.

There is a transverse perforation of the bases for passage of the 5 mm through threaded rods in order to assemble the assemblies.

Claims (4)

1 - Practice brush consisting of a combination of assembled elements  between them by means of two clamping rods - C - which can be  bolted to their ends, each element consisting of a  rigid PVC base with rilsan and polypropylene fibers  implanted by tuft in the non-through holes of the base. 2 - Practice brush according to claim 1, consisting of 3 elements  10 cm wide each, consisting of 1144 staggered holes  in a base varying in thickness from 1 to 3 cm.  The holes have a center distance of 8.mm on 13 rows by width  10 cm. 3 - Practice brush according to claim 2 wherein the length  fibers projecting from the base is 40 mm 4 - Practice brush according to any one of Claims 1 to 3,  in which the peripheral holes of each brush are inclined  outwards, in order to keep the best growth in  surface including in the terraced part. 5 - Practice brush according to claim 1 to 4 characterized by  what it is fixed in a chassis making base.
