Abstract

The invention is an apparatus for making all types of kebabs simply, rapidly and in complete safety. It comprises a base 1 supporting dividers 2 provided with a notch 3 starting from the top and extending downwards, used at its base for the passage of any kebab skewer and, at its top, for withdrawing the latter. Each divider is provided with small ridges 4 holding the products in place in the divisions 5. It is housed in a box whose partitioned bottom serves as a container. The calibrating lid lined with a small chopping board closes the whole unit.

Description

 The present invention is an apparatus for the simple, rapid and safe execution of all kebab recipes, whatever their composition and consistency.

 Generally the preparation of such a variety of skewers is hardly conceivable except manually; manual manufacturing, which involves threading the chosen products on a rod, piece by piece, is slow, impractical and possibly dangerous.

 The current more elaborate systems are: either devices reserved for the meat industry, or for individuals a boot with a cover holding the products to be skewered by pressure, hence a very limited choice of products.

 The device according to the invention overcomes all these drawbacks.

 On its base stand partitions constituting compartments intended for the placement of products for making kebabs.

 The partitions are provided with notches and edges.

 The notches from the top to the support of the device ensure at their base, the passage of any commercial skewer and at their top the release of the skewer.

 The edges are integral on one of the faces of the partitions on either side of the notch, and intended for the maintenance of the products to be skewered.

 Once the compartments of the device are filled with pieces of adequate size, simply push a skewer at the base of the first notch Until the last.

 The device is housed in a fitted boot consisting of a compartmentalized bottom and a calibrator cover on which a cutting board fits.

 The bottom: intended on the one hand for the storage of the device is, on the other hand, provided with partitions forming compartments designed to receive the cut products awaiting their use. At the base of each partition an opening allows easy cleaning. In its upper part and longitudinally a slide is provided to receive the cover. Over the width serving as a stop for the cover, it has a tongue provided with a stud which will be housed in the orifice of a female tongue adapted to said cover, thus ensuring simple and effective closure of the boot.

 The cover: At the same time, below the longitudinal edges and across the width on the tongue side, uniform lugs integral with the base are spaced and arranged so as to serve as a guide for a knife, thus allowing food to be calibrated.

 The base of each lug serves as a slide for the cutting board.

 It is provided with a female tongue juxtaposing, when the bottle is closed, with the stud of the tongue at the bottom of said boot allowing the assembly to be closed, and with a hole facilitating handling in the slide.

 The cutting board slides under the lugs on the cover.

A hole in its center allows a finger to enter or exit it during cleaning.

 The assembly can be made of flexible plastic.

 As shown, the device (Fig. 1) has a base (1) on which perpendicular partitions (2) rest, thus forming compartments (5) which will be garnished with the various foods making up the skewer, previously cut into pieces of appropriate size. Each partition is provided with a notch (3) whose base serves as a guide for the skewer and the top at the outlet of the brdchette. Each separation is provided with edges (4) whose function is to maintain the products intended to be skewered, even the least consistent. On each side of the base a notch (6) facilitates the removal of the device from its boot.

 In the fitted box (Fig. 2-3-4) the bottom (7) (Fig.2) is provided with partitions (8) forming compartments (9) which will receive the cut food; the partitions are, at their base, provided with an orifice (11) facilitating cleaning. The slides (10) are responsible for receiving the cover. A tongue (12) provided with a stud keeps the assembly closed when it is introduced into the orifice of the tongue of the cover (17).

 The calibrator cover (Fig. 3) is made up of a plate (13) secured to uniform lugs (14) whose base (18) serves as a slide for the cutting board; between each lug the groove (15) having its opposite is intended for the passage of a knife. The holes (16) facilitate the guiding of the cover / board assembly during the opening and closing of the boot.

 The cutting board (19) is drilled in its center, the hole (20) having a guiding function.

The object of the invention device can be used in all cases where one wishes to make kebabs easily, quickly, safely and securely. The applications of this device are intended for all private amateurs, campers, owners of a grill or barbecue, sellers of kebabs, butchers, traditional pork butchers, etc.
