Abstract

The invention relates to a drawing apparatus for use with sliding parallel straightedges and the like. It consists of the combination firstly of the carriage 3 which uses the stiffening rod 1 of the sliding parallel straightedge 2 as a guide rail, and secondly of the component parts of the carriage 3 with a hinge 24 connecting it to the straightedge carrier to enable it to pass over the support instantly and without dismantling it; and of the locking and swivelling components of the head to enable left-hand and right-hand areas of the working surface to be reached without any unreached area. It consists in the construction of a removable assembly which makes it possible, without modifying known devices, to use a variety of different drawing instruments over the complete working surfaces, both to the right and to the left and both above and below the support without the need for dismantling.
