Abstract

The invention relates to a system of sheets making it possible to make and remake a bed, after each use, without human intervention. The system consists of a continuous strip 1 having a succession of pockets 2 or S.2. By moving the strip by the value of at least one pocket, the used part is removed and is replaced by a fresh part. The sheet system according to the invention is especially intended to be used in an automatic self-service hotel establishment.

== CONTINUOUS SHEET ==
The present invention relates to a system of sheets which can be used in automatic distribution, to allow the cooling of the bedding without human intervention.

 The beds are traditionally made or remade by depositing on the mattress a bottom sheet then a top sheet and a blanket, whose edges are then folded around the mattress and engaged under it, to maintain them. But this technique involves the intervention of at least one person, if not two.

Certain types of sheets are produced in the form of pockets, called "sleeping bag" or even "meat bag", allowing the user to have a sort of sheet of under and a top sheet , but then the whole thing is not maintained, it follows a lot of discomfort: "sausage effect
The sheet system according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks. It consists of a continuous series of pockets, held together (variant 1), or fixed to a support strip (variant 2). It is enough after each sequence of use to advance the value of a pocket the pocket strip, as for photographic film
According to a preferred embodiment, the pockets are attached one after the other. They can then be made: either with classic fabric (cross), or with textured tablecloths (non-woven). Whether the pocket bands are made with conventional fabric or with non-woven fabrics, they can succeed one another lengthwise or widthwise.

 To form the pockets, two layers of textile are brought together, keeping the edges together: by sewing, gluing, welding, or any other means (it). Sequentially a transverse assembly defines the length or the width of the pocket.

 When using conventional fabric, the opening of the bed (separation between the two layers of sheets to enter the bed) is maintained either by buttoning, or by pressure bands, or by "VELCRO" (registered trademark), or any another means that will allow the sheets to be ajar.

 When nonwoven is used, the bags can be manufactured in the manner described above, either by pre-scooping by perforation at the limit of the upper part which forms the flap, and the side edges (stamp effect) to allow by tearing " the opening "of the bed.

 According to variant 2, the pockets can be fixed permanently or temporarily on a support strip, called a conveyor belt. The final fixing can be carried out by gluing, sewing, stapling, welding, etc. The temporary fixing can be carried out by means of button fastenings, zippers, velvet buckle and hook velvet strips "VELCRO" registered trademark), etc ..., whether the pockets are based on classic fabric or nonwoven.

 According to variants i and Z, whether the bags are made in continuous strips or separately, it will be possible to add an absorbent layer below, and a layer of material permeable to air but impermeable to liquids, or only a layer of breathable and liquid impermeable material which will fulfill the role of protective sheet. These layers of protective material may be integral with the sheets or independent of the sheets. For example, when we use washable sheets, we will put an independent protective layer underneath, disposable for health reasons.

 The sheet system represented in the figure nola consists of a strip (1) of fabric several meters in length and about two meters wide, on which rectangles of fabric (E) are fixed by three sides ( C1-CE-C3) .The fourth side is not fixed, it is turned over on the top to form the flap (3). The pockets are spaced, with respect to each other, by about 0.30 meter. This spacing is given for information only and is in no way limiting. The pockets can also (FIG. 1b) be formed by two superimposed continuous bands which are assembled sequentially at the approximate distances described above, and in an identical manner. One side of the band, folded back, forms the flaps.

 In an embodiment according to variant 2 the separable pockets (S.2) are produced separately as shown in FIG. 3, and deposited on a conveyor belt (4) where they are maintained, temporarily or permanently.

The fixing of the pockets on the conveyor belt, in the example described, is carried out with "VELCRO" (registered trademark) bands.

This method of attachment is not limitative of the invention. Means such as: buttoning strip, press button strip, slides, adhesives, staples, can be used without constituting a characteristic modification of the invention.

 According to a variant, a draw sheet (6) can be added to the conveyor belt. This sheet can be made up of a single layer of liquid-tight and air-permeable material. Or consist of: a liquid-tight and air-permeable layer (7), a layer (8) of absorbent material (cotton fiber, viscose, or wood pulp), and a layer of permeable casing (9) air and liquids.

Figure n03 represents a separable pocket (Se), with an absorbent draw sheet incorporated. It consists of:
- A layer (7) of liquid tight materials cor-
porels and breathable.

- A layer (8) of absorbent materials (fibers or paste
Of wood).

 - A protective layer of permeable material (9).

 - A layer of bottom sheet in fabric or nonwoven.

 - A layer of top sheet in fabric or nonwoven.

- Under the bottom layer, hook strips are fixed
of the "VELCRO" fixing system (registered trademark), or the
the loop pile part.

 The sheet system according to the invention is particularly intended for automatic placement of bedding, in a Hotelier, Collective, Hospitalier, or other environment.

Claims (11)

> R E V E N D I C A T I O N S <  1) - Continuous sheet system for making the beds automatically, characterized in that it consists of a succession of pockets. When the bed needs to be redone; the strip of the value of a pocket is advanced, which has the effect of eliminating the part used and making a fresh part appear.  2) -System of continuous sheet, according to claim -1-, characterized in that the pockets form a continuous strip (1) obtained by a sequential transverse assembly of two layers of woven or nonwoven materials.  3) -Sheet system according to claim -1- characterized in that the pockets are no longer integral with each other but are separable (S.2) and fixed on a conveyor belt (4).  4) -Sheet system according to claims -1 -, - 2- and -3 characterized in that a layer (7) of material impermeable to body fluids and permeable to air is fixed under the bottom sheet part to form a draw sheet.  5) -Sheet system according to claims -2- -3- and -4 characterized in that between the layer of material impervious (7) to body fluids and the layer of bottom sheet (10) is interposed with a layer of absorbent material (8): cotton fiber, viscose, or wood pulp.  6) -Sheet system according to claims - 2 - 4 - 5 - characterized in that the pockets are made continuously by tubular assembly with nonwoven. To allow the opening of the bed and the formation of the flap (3) we made a precut, by perforations (12) of the top layer (5) over part of the length, along the assemblies (C1) and (C3).  8) -Sheet system according to claims- 3 - 4 - 5- characterized in that the transport band (4) is made with a layer of velvet looped on top to allow 1 'hanging of the separable pockets (S .2) by means of hook (VELCRO) (registered trademark) strips fixed under the pockets.
