Abstract

The dishwasher has a container the bottom (7) of which has a hole with a flanged edge or collar (6) inside which tightly fits a drainage trough (1) with a seal (5) round it. Only two fixtures are necessary, in the form of springy plastics lugs on the outside of the drainage-trough (1). The lugs are compressed during assembly, and pop outwards when assembled in position, thereby preventing the trough from falling out. The outside of the drainage-trough has support blocks which have a ridge with a slot for a wedge. The wedge has a sloping part and lugs and catches.

Description

 The present invention relates to a dishwashing machine comprising a tank whose bottom has an opening with folded edge or collar, in which is pressed from the inside a drain pan having all around a seal.

 In a known dishwashing machine of this type (DE-OS-25 43 822), the tank and the drain pan are sealed against each other as follows: the opening of the bottom of the tank has an enlarged edge, forming a groove on the outside. The drain pan has an opening with a bulge surrounding this edge. On the neck of the drain pan and its bulge is placed a sealing ring whose inner lip rests in the groove formed by the edge of the tank and whose outer lip is surrounded by a collar for fixing the tank and the drain pan with interposition of the sealing ring.

 The use of a fixing collar, the installation and screwing of which require significant assembly operations, here represents a drawback.

 A dishwashing machine is also known (DE-OS-32 29 371) which makes it possible to introduce the drain pan from the bottom into the opening of the washing tub. The sealing function is ensured by an O-ring which is placed in an external annular groove of the drainage pan. Retainers protect against reciprocal axial displacement of the tank and the drain pan.

 This has the disadvantage in this case that the sealing is ensured only by pressing the O-ring which constitutes a relatively narrow sealing surface. This could lead in some cases to sealing difficulties.

 The invention therefore aims to achieve a simple method of attachment between the dishwasher tank and its drain pan.

 This object is achieved with the dishwashing machine according to the invention in that the sealing is carried out mainly radially so that as a general rule only two fastening elements are necessary from the outside which prevent the container from evacuation does not fall during transport.

 The invention has the advantage of a method of fixing the tank of the dishwasher and the drain pan which facilitates assembly and is inexpensive. In addition, the method of fitting the seal gives rise to large sealing surfaces which provide a reliable seal between the tank and the drain pan. The invention also has the advantage that the fixing of the retaining elements is done from the outside. In particular for screw connections, there is no additional seal here for the screw head, as would be essential in the case of an interior fixing. The retaining parts or fixing elements can be used for the subsequent pressing of the seal, in the case of an adequate configuration of the seal ring 5 of the collar 6, and thus produce an additional axial sealing force.

 Various other characteristics of the invention will emerge from the detailed description which follows. Embodiments of the invention are shown by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings.

 Figure 1 is a diagram of the arrangement of the bottom of the tank, the sealing ring and the drain pan.

 Figures 2 to 14 show different embodiments of the fixing elements and their arrangement.

connection pipe 2 to a circulation pump not shown, a connection 3 to a drain pump also not shown and a filter 4. The drain pan 1 is provided with an annular seal 5 pressed from the inside in a collar 6 at the bottom 7 of the tub of the dishwashing machine.

 According to Figures 2 and 3, plastic tabs 8 are injection molded on the drain pan 1; during assembly, they are pressed together and spring out again in their final mounted position (see Figure 2), so as to prevent the tank 1 from falling out. Figure 3 is a view in the direction of the arrow.

 Figure 4 shows another fastener.

A support block 9 and a bar 10 with a guide slot 11 for the stop key 12 are injection molded on the drain pan 1.

 Figure 5 shows the stop key 12 mounted, in the direction of the arrow.

 FIG. 7 shows the bar 10 with guide slot 11 without stop pin 12, also in the direction of the arrow.

 Figure 6 shows the stop key seen from above.

 When the stop key 12 is introduced in the direction of the arrow, there is, via the chamfer 13, a prestressing of the tank 1 relative to the collar 6 of the bottom of the tank. Thanks to the snap-in fingers 14 and 14 ', an attachment takes place in the slot 11 which prevents the fall.

In the case where the stop key 12 must be pressed further, there are also provided snap-fit teeth 15 and 15 '.

 FIG. 8 shows another embodiment of a fixing element. In this embodiment, the fixing is carried out by means of a tension spring 16 which is introduced in the direction of the arrow 18, in a guide and support block 17 injection molded on the drain pan 1.

So that the leaf spring 16 cannot slide outside, a snap-in edge 19 is provided.

 FIG. 9 shows the spring 16 mounted in the direction of the arrow 20.

 FIG. 11 is a view in the direction of the arrow 20 without spring 16.

 Figure 12 shows another method of attachment.

 A bar 21 with slot 22 is injection molded on the drain pan 1, a clip 23 with locking pin 24 passing through the slot. If the screw 25 is tightened with a threaded rod in the clip 23, it is supported in the slot 22 and on the drain pan 1 at point 26, and thus maintains the drain pan.

 Figure 13 shows the bar 21 with the slot 22 in the direction of the arrow.

 As shown in Figure 14, an eyelet 27 having blind holes is injection molded obliquely on the drain pan 1. The claw 28 is pressed with the screw 29 against the collar 6 of the bottom of the tank and bears against the drain pan 1 at point 30.

Claims (8)

 1. Dishwashing machine comprising a tank whose bottom (7) has an opening with folded edge or collar (6), into which is pressed from the inside a drain pan (1) having all around a seal d '' sealing (5), characterized in that the sealing takes place mainly radially so that as a rule only two fastening elements are required from the outside which prevent the drain pan (1) from falling during transportation.  2. Dishwashing machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the fixing elements are elastic plastic tabs (8) which are molded from the outside on the drain pan (1) at the same time as thereof, and which are pressed together during assembly before springing out towards the outside again in their final mounted position, and thus preventing the container (1) from falling outside.  3. Dishwashing machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the support blocks (9) molded on the outside on the drain pan (1), comprise a bar (10) with guide slot ( 11) for a stop key (12) and the latter a chamfer (13) as well as latching fingers (14 and 14 ') and latching teeth (15 and 15'), the key inserted in the guide slot (11) producing a prestressing of the tank (1) relative to the collar (6) of the tank, and causing a catching in the guide slot (11) using the latching fingers (14 and 14 '), thus preventing the tank (1) from falling outside.  4. Dishwashing machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the support blocks (17) molded outside on a drain pan (1), have a housing for a tension spring (16) with blade which is protected against sliding outside by a latching edge (19) in the support block (17) and which, in its pre-assembly stress prevents the drain pan (1) from fall back outside.  5. Dishwashing machine according to claim 1, characterized in that bars (21) having a slot (22) are molded on the outside on the drain pan (1) and in that a fastener (23) comprising a locking lug (24) is introduced into the slot (22), the fastener (23) being screwed against the collar (6) of the tank by means of a screw (25) and bearing against the point (26), and thus preventing the drain pan (1) from falling out.  6. Dishwashing machine according to claim 1, characterized in that oblique eyelets (27) having blind holes are formed on the outside on the drain pan (1), these eyelets being used for assembly with the collar (6), by screws (29) and claws (28), so that the claws (28) bear on the collar (6) and at point (30) of the tank (1) and prevent that it does not fall outside.  7. Dishwashing machine according to claims 1, 5, 6, characterized in that the screws (25 and 29) are placed from the outside and therefore do not require additional gaskets of screw heads.  8. Dishwashing machine according to claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the fastening elements serve to subsequently press the seal (5).
