Abstract

Nozzle with shutter which can move by means of the conversion in an injection press. The invention relates to a nozzle with a movable shutter guided in a bore and stressed in the closed position simply by the pressure of material contained in the homogenising chamber of the injection press. It consists of a body which is fixed to the injection unit of the press by means of the threaded part 2 and, at the other end of the external part of the body 1, a frustoconical part 3 and a face 4 may be observed. The latter is intended as a stop for the body 5. Inside the body 1 may be distinguished a bore 6 intended for guiding the shutter 7 and a conical part 8 providing the seal in the closed position. The piston shaft 7 (shutter) is formed by an annular channel 9 emerging at one of the ends and the other emerging at the periphery via three elongate holes 10 arranged at 120 DEG . The body 5 is fixed to the piston shaft 7 and the passage of the material through the channels 9 and 10 takes place in contact with the body 5 on the mould. The movement of the shutter is limited to only the space between the bodies 1 and 5. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the conversion of plastics in an injection press.
