Abstract

The present invention relates to a surgical staple intended to reduce an osteotomy centre while waiting for consolidation, or to fix an artificial or anatomical ligament before its rehabilitation by the bone. This staple is characterised in that the element forming the central bridge 1 of the staple is a plate with a width greater than that of the legs 2, and whose longitudinal parts 6,6' which protrude on either side of the bridge 1, have a cross-section which is rounded with several radii of curvature of values R, r which decrease from the lower face 5 of the bridge 1 where the legs 2 start from, to the upper plane face 4 which is parallel to the lower face 5, the lateral ends of the said bridge 1 being themselves rounded.
