Abstract

Installation for loading and/or unloading textile materials on material carriers of which the base or box structure 57 carries columns 5 for stacking spools or the like of materials to be treated. It comprises a work station comprising means for loading the material carrier in the form of spools, pads, or the like of different types and/or dimensions 4 and means for unloading from a material carrier, as required, all of its load or only part of it by means of one or more plate(s) 7 provided to rest on the base of the material carrier and which carry the said spools, pads or the like, the displacement of the or of a plurality of the said plates away from the base of the material carrier in order to raise the spools, pads or the like stacked on the columns 5, 19 of the said material carrier and to unload them therefrom being actuated by means of at least one sliding unit with spindles 15 provided at the said station.
