Abstract

The invention relates to a stand which is easy to transport and install. It consists of a fixed part 5 which is fitted with steps, mounted on wheels 2 and provided with draw gear 3 on which are articulated movable parts fitted with bottom 6 and top 7 steps which, in the transport position, are folded up against the steps of the fixed part 5, with which they overlap. In the unfolded position, the movable parts bear on the ground by means of jacks 9 placed directly on the bottom movable part 6 and on folding rear supports 8 which carry the top movable part 7 in the unfolded position.

Description

 In cities, businesses or sports clubs, the need for temporary facilities is felt for events which bring together a large audience, but which do not justify the establishment of costly permanent facilities whose depreciation would not be possible due of the too low frequency of these manifestations.

 Among the temporary uses, thus necessary, there are in the first place grandstands to accommodate the public on bleachers.

 There are known solutions to this problem: they consist of removable stands which are transported in parts and assembled at the request of organizers, clubs or municipalities. These demountable stands, whatever the assembly system, require a significant workforce both for assembly and disassembly as well as for unloading or loading of elements during transport from one place to another. These stands are therefore temporarily rented to companies which take care of installing and dismantling them. In other cases, they belong to the municipalities which store them and have them assembled by municipal staff or temporary workers hired for the occasion. In both cases the cost is high and many municipalities or clubs therefore renounce to the installation of temporary stands.

 Another formula is often used in multipurpose rooms (gymnasiums, basketball halls, etc.); it consists of providing casters for tilting them, platforms that are deeper than tall, the depth becoming the height and the rear height of these stands resting on the ground on casters, reducing the footprint, leaving more room in the center of the room for training.

 The present invention aims to provide a solution to all the problems mentioned above and in particular to allow the installation of temporary stands easy to transport and installable virtually without assembly or disassembly. We will see in the description which follows other advantages which arise from the proposed solutions which are the subject of the claims of this patent.

 Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a platform according to the invention, in the transport position, made in the road gauge of 2.50 m. There is a metal chassis (1), a set of wheels (2) and a hitch arrow (3) which constitute the base of the platform, which is therefore towable behind a vehicle. It advantageously adds a suspension and braking on the wheels, as well as all that is necessary for traffic on the road, in accordance with the highway code (lights, etc ...), as well as front stands and rear (4) fitted with cylinders (9) which can be raised to the road position. The platform itself is made up of three main parts - a fixed part (5) - a foldable lower part (6) - a foldable upper part (7) as well as folding supports (for this folding top part (7).

 The folding parts (6) and (7) have steps and can be divided into two or more elements. Note that the steps of the foldable parts are nested with the steps of the fixed part. Safety ramps are arranged disassembled in a housing fitted under the fixed part (5).

 The operation of the elements thus listed will be explained in the comments on FIGS. 2, 3, 4 and 5, at the same time that the essential means allowing this operation will be described in order to arrive at the solution to the problem posed.

The undercarriage-trailer part is advantageously provided with a roller stand (1O) allowing maneuvering over short distances, once the platform has been uncoupled.

 We can also provide rings at the four corners - these rings are worth7 when setting up the grandstand, piles driven into the ground, which perfectly immobilize the grandstand in case in bad terrain the jacks () associated with braking wheels, would not guarantee perfect immobilization.

 Figures 2, 3, 4 and 5 show the different stages of deployment of the elements shown folded for road transport in Figure 1.

Figure 2 shows the deployment of the rear supports (8), starting from the folded position against the side of the trailer (position a in Figure 2). We first note the lower triangle (8 b) connected to the upper triangle (8 a) by the articulation (8 c), so as to release the jack (9) which extends the
bottom triangle (8b), which rests in the road position behind the support
rear neighbor, as can be seen in Figure 2. The cylinder (9) being
supported by the lifting of the bottom triangle (8b), the whole of the
rear support (8) which is articulated with the fixed part by high (8 d) and low (8e) articulations, so as to place it perpendicularly to the side of the trailer. Then we switch (position b in Figure 2) the bottom triangle

In the foregoing description, the expressions foldable upper part (7) or rear ramp support (13) have been used for elements of these parts which are, for reasons of convenience of operation, as explained below, divided into elements.

Figure 5 shows the fully depressed platform, side ramps not yet installed. It remains of course to adjust the trins and to put in

 FIG. 9 shows a schematic side view of the platform according to the invention, the lateral safety ramps (11 b), housed for transport under the fixed part before being installed in housings provided for this purpose.

They are advantageously snapped on or locked by screws in the accommodation to prevent spectators, voluntarily or involuntarily, from bringing them out of these accommodation. The same measure is also recommended for the rear ramps (lia)
Finally, it will be noted that the coupling arrow is arranged so that it can find a place under the rear of the central part of a tribe. Only in the case where two or more platforms are available.

 We see that all these provisions allow the rapid establishment of easily transportable stands from one place to another. In practice, we will endeavor, without this being an obligation, to give the elements of the unfoldable high or low parts, a weight such that the maneuver by one man is possible. It can be seen that the installation of a platform for 100 to 120 people comprising 8 steps (4 for the central part and 2 for each of the foldable parts divided into 2 elements) requires a quarter of an hour for one man. Such a grandstand can be transported by a medium-sized car then, the rolling weight of approximately C Ckg being little more than that of a caravan.

The advantage of the stands according to the invention therefore thus lies in their mobility, which, together with the ease of installation described above, makes it possible to envisage the concentration in a municipality or a club of a large number of stands belonging to neighboring municipalities or clubs and their installation
side by side to form a grandstand. So the stock
kage, disseminated in the neighboring municipalities does not pose any significant problem.

 To withstand bad weather and storage in precarious conditions, it is desirable that the frame is made of galvanized steel or aluminum, the bleachers of aluminum and all stainless steel hardware. This will avoid costly maintenance work and increase the longevity of the stands according to the invention.

Claims (8)
