Abstract

Description

 The present invention relates to a toothbrush incorporating a reservoir of toothpaste and comprising a diffuser device.

 The set allows, in a single and simple operation, to deposit a dose of toothpaste on the brush. The toothbrush and the tube of toothpaste constitute in their presentation and current use completely dissociated elements, even if, in their use one uses them simultaneously.

 Also, one of the originalities of the present invention lies in the functional and homogeneous association of these two elements. Association by which the addition of a diffuser device and a metering device allows, by a simple pressure on the latter , a quantitatively adequate and homogeneous distribution of the toothpaste on the bristles of the toothbrush. And this, for the sake of reduced handling and increased ease of use for the user.

 The invention consists of a toothbrush (2), a toothpaste reservoir (1) also serving as a handle for the brush, a metering device (6) + (7) + (8) and d '' a diffuser device (2) + (3) + (9).

 The diffuser device comprises a conduit (5) opening at one of its ends on orifices (3) located between the bristle bundles (4) of the brush (2); the other end being extended by a spout (9) serving as a striker which plunges into the toothpaste tank (i). The toothpaste tank (1) can be changed once empty; it also constitutes the handle of the brush.

 The brush-tank connection is made by tight fitting.

 The dosing device comprises a push button (6} extended by a piston (8) which penetrates into the toothpaste reservoir (1) thus compressing the paste which is evacuated in the hollow duct (5) of the diffuser to the orifices (3) of the brush (2). The volume of paste thus discharged corresponds to the volume of the piston (8) having penetrated into the reservoir.

Once the toothpaste on the bristles (4) of the brush (2), release the pressure exerted on the push button (6). Under the action of a spring (7) coiled around the piston of the push button , the latter then returns to its initial position. A vacuum then sucks the toothpaste from the reservoir (1). (ii) carries on its upper part a curved and flexible face which under the effect of a pressure will tend to widen, thus blocking the piston (10).

 The different parts constituting the brush and the toothpaste reservoir will preferably be made of plastic.

 CLAIMS.  1) Device characterized in that it consists of a toothbrush (2) functionally associated with a toothpaste reservoir (1). All of this, with a metering system (6) + (7) + ( 8) apply in a simple and single operation a dose of toothpaste on the bristles of the brush.  2) Toothbrush (2) according to claim 1) characterized in that the diffuser system (2) + (3) + (9) of toothpaste is integrated in the brush.  3) Toothbrush according to claims 1) and 2) characterized in that the diffuser system consists of a hollow conduit (2) terminated at one of its ends by nozzle orifices (3) opening out between the beams of brush bristles (4)  4) Toothbrush (l) according to claims 1), 2) and 3) characterized in that the handle of the brush serves as a reservoir of toothpaste.  5) Toothbrush according to claim 4) characterized in that the toothpaste reservoir (1) is replaceable once empty.
