Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of sewing which permits the production of an invisible hem on the "right-side" face and which is applied, particularly, to double curtains. This method consists, after the preparation of the lining 2 and of the fabric 1, in assembling the fabric 1 and the lining 2 via sewing 12 performed close to the sewing 4, which creates, on the lining 2, a floating hem 3 whose upper edge 7 is positioned a few millimetres from the bottom end 11 of the fabric. The symmetry of the turnings 17 is adjusted, and the top of the lining 2 is cut (detail 16) to permit folding of the fabric 1 and to enable the gathering braid 13 to be placed thereon. The hems 3 and 8 are hand-finished, according to detail 14, taking into account that the second stage requires the folding of the lining 2 over the fabric 1, "right sides together", and that the turning right-side out of the assembly enables the hem 8 to appear invisible.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de réaliser lm ourlet invisible, côté endroit, la quasi totalité du travaiL étant éxécuté avec une machine à coudre.
