Abstract

The invention relates to a set of devices assembled together on the same electronic card capable of being inserted without modification inside microcomputers to the IBM PC or AT (registered trademarks) standard. The principle consists in triggering an alarm or a series of alarms (siren, smoke, coded signal) when the hardware is moved or opened. Optical or electrical sensors or position switches transmit the information to an electronic unit 5 capable of driving a loud speaker 16, a smoke-generating nozzle or a cabled network internal to the building. A secret code inserted from the keyboard of the microcomputer and associated with a computer programme makes it possible to neutralise or set the alarm. The assembly is moulded into epoxy resin providing tamper-proofing. The electrical power supply to the assembly is provided by a battery 9 while the apparatus is switched off, the latter recharging itself during the normal operation of the hardware.
