Abstract

The device for revolving connection of a nozzle extending a suction duct to a suction sleeve comprises an interposed component 63 intended to be fitted into the sleeve 25 and to receive the nozzle 36, the component being equipped with at least one flexible longitudinal tab 66 with elastic return having, as an external projection, a locking tooth 69 which is capable of being inserted in a housing 70 of the sleeve and of being held there by contact of the nozzle with the internal face of the tab, at 81, whilst a collar 76 of the inserted end 74 of this nozzle, made elastically deformable by at least one slit 75, abuts against the conjugated end 79 of the interposed component so as to immobilise the nozzle in axial translation relative to this component which is itself locked by the tooth relative to the sleeve.

Claims

1.- Rotating connection device of a tube extending a vacuum cleaner duct with a squeegee sleeve, whether this sleeve is integral with the squeegee housing or that it is articulated directly in this housing or that it is pivotally mounted relative to a tilting nozzle articulated in said housing and carrying a rear roller bearing on the ground, the sleeve-nozzle pivot axis being offset relative to the axis of the roller or coincident with this axis, the device being characterized in that '' it comprises an intermediate piece (63) intended to be fitted into the sleeve (25) whatever its section and to receive the tubing (36), the piece being provided with at least one longitudinal flexing tongue (66) with return elastic having an external projection on a locking tooth (60) capable of penetrating into a housing (70) of the sleeve and of being held there by contact (at 81) of the tubing with the internal face of the tongue, while a means of immobilization axial is provided between the tubing (36) and the part (63).

2.- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the aforementioned axial immobilization means is a flange (76) of the penetrating end (74) of the tube (36), end which is made elastically deformable by at least a slot (75) so that the collar can cross the intermediate piece (63) and come to abut against the conjugate end (79) of this piece in order to immobilize in axial translation the tubing relative to said piece which is itself locked by the tooth relative to the sleeve.

3.- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the aforementioned axial immobilization means is an elastic ring or circlip (88) intended to engage in grooves (86, 87) coming from molding in the intermediate piece ( 63) and the tubing (36).

4.- Device according to claim 2 characterized in that the tab or tabs (66) are delimited in a tubular skirt (64) of the intermediate piece (63) by a U-shaped slot (65) formed in molding and are oriented so that their free end (68? carrying the tooth (69) is directed towards the penetrating end (74) of this part, the skirt (64) having two stepped bores (80, 81) of which the narrowest (81) is located on the side of this penetrating end and connected to the widest by a chamfer (82) which forms on the stepped inner surface of the tongue or tongues an inclined ramp (83) capable of cooperating with the extreme collar (76) of the tubing (36 ).

5.- Device according to claim 2 characterized in that the tube (36) has, between its end flange (76) and its locking surface (78) a groove (77) into which penetrates an end flange (79) projecting inside the intermediate piece (63).

6.- Device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the sleeve (25) delimits, to form the housing or teeth, one or lights (70) opening to the outside.

7.- Device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the intermediate piece (63) is an adaptation piece between the tube (36) having a shape of revolution and a sleeve (25) whose circumscribed section is quadrangular and preferably square, this part then comprising the aforementioned skirt (64) touching at least the two lateral faces (73) of the sleeve (25) and forming a body with two end flanges (71, 72) capable of s' fit in said sleeve.
