Abstract

The present invention relates to a new device which makes possible diving to a few metres' depth by virtue of a flexible air reservoir, made of rubber for example, submerged by virtue of ballast at the same depth as the diver, thus providing him with air at suitable pressure. It comprises: an air reservoir 1 with its connections 4 and 5 and with its fastening rings 3 and 6, a manual inflator 2 (or one connected to a pump supplied by a battery) equipped with a valve 10 for regulating pressure and with a manometer 11 for pressure control. A flexible pipe 14 connects the inflator 2 to the submerged air reservoir 1. A breathing tube 8 brings the air from the reservoir 1 to the diver. A graduated cord 16 fixed to the boat, and the ballast 7, keep the assembly at the desired depth P. The device forming the subject of the invention is intended for yachtsmen, boatmen and sailors who want to dive close to their craft, to repair damage or to check the state of the hull, below the water line. It can make up for the absence or the failure of diving bottles. This device can also be intended for introduction to diving or searching at shallow depth.
