Abstract
The bipolar-binary converter comprises a transformer 1 of an incoming bipolar signal BIP into first and second opposite bipolar signals BIP<+>, BIP<->, and first and second comparators 2<+> and 2<-> for comparing the first and second bipolar signals with a reference voltage VR. So as to allow the reception of an incoming bipolar signal with noise having a high amplitude, the converter comprises means 3 connected to the transformer 1 for setting the reference voltage VR depending upon the amplitude of the incoming bipolar signal BIP. A resistor 38 enables the reference voltage to be maintained above a predetermined voltage threshold.
