Abstract

The device 1 has a body 5 with a seat 19 delimited by converging surfaces 21, 22 capable of receiving a tube 3 corresponding to a pipe 2 inside which it is desired to detect the presence of a liquid. The body 5 of the device has two auxiliary seats 23, 24, each of which faces one of the aforementioned surfaces 21, 22, and houses a photoemitter probe 25 and a photoreceptor probe 26 respectively. The device 1 furthermore comprises a vice 45 capable of holding the tube 3 pushed against the aforementioned converging surfaces 21, 22.
