Fastening device, especially for a fuel gauge 1, comprising a nut 2, which is mounted directly in the fuel tank 4, characterised in that the nut 2 is split and interacts with an elastic ring 8 so that the said ring 8 constantly keeps the threads 6 of the said nut in contact with the corresponding threads 7 of the tank 4.
