Abstract

  The present invention relates to improvements made to paunch-

  first aid adhesive elements for applying a medicinal agent or

  impregnate a buffer if necessary.

  There are currently many types of first aid adhesive dressings. For example, the most widely used dressings include

  a pad of absorbent material, such as gauze or the like, attached to the

  central tie of the main body of the adhesive dressing, and dried after being

  peeled with a medicinal agent, sheets of paper, detachable by peeling, being fixed to the main body so as to cover the tampon and being able to be separated from each other. However, these dressings have drawbacks. Although the tampon contains a medicinal agent, it comes in a dry state, so

  the tampon can worsen the wound and, moreover, not produce the anti-

  septic and sterilant sought, even if it is in contact with the wound, unless

  that the medicinal agent dissolves from the tampon in the fluid which is se-

  When a container and a peelable sheet are made separately, the container is covered with the peelable sheet. With such a structure, the dressing poses the following problems: 1 the peel-off sheet occupies a position in which it is largely separated from the main body of the dressing, and, consequently, it

  cannot remain securely attached to the adhesive cover of the main body

  cipal, and therefore cannot sufficiently cover the tampon to maintain sterile quality at tampon; 2 - when the container breaks, by applying pressure exerted from the upper part of the dressing, the container cannot be touched directly by hand, and therefore it can move under the detachable sheet by peeling or on the pad, which causes difficulties in obtaining an appropriate rupture of this container;

  3 - taking into account the positioning of the container, part of the sheet can

  before being peeled off if located outside and above the main body of the dressing, which makes the latter bulky; and, 4 when the container is simply interposed between the peelable sheet and the pad, it is difficult to hold this container in place

  The present invention proposes to provide an adhesive dressing of pre-

  care which includes a main dressing body, a pad attached to the upper surface or the adhesive surface of the main body, at least one sheet, peelable, covering the adhesive surface of the main body, and a container disposed on the pad , this container comprising a bottom wall consisting of a thin sheet, such as an aluminum sheet, and containing

  a medicinal agent, the provision being such that, when using the pan-

  Another object of the present invention is to provide a first aid adhesive dressing in which the peelable sheet and the container can be prepared, separately, from different materials and to

using appropriate procedures.

  Another object of the invention is to produce an adhesive bandage of pre-

  care in which the container is held securely in place on the tampon, and in which the peelable sheet is securely attached

  safe to the main body of the dressing, to adequately protect the tampon.

  Another object of the present invention is to provide an adherent dressing

  first aid sif in which the container can be broken by its lower wall

  higher, by being touched directly by hand, and in which the container cannot move on the tampon, which makes it possible to obtain a frank rupture of this container. Another object of the invention is to provide a first aid adhesive dressing in which the container is detached from the tampon or else from the main body of the dressing, after rupture of the bottom wall of the container and removal of the

  Finally, an additional object of the invention resides in that the dressing

  first aid adhesive thus obtained has an appearance which is not made mas-

sif by the presence of the container.

  The present invention therefore relates to an adhesive bandage of first

  care which includes: a main body with an adhesive coating on its surface

  upper side; a pad attached to the upper surface of the main body; a container containing a medicinal agent, and at least one peel-off sheet, temporarily attached to the adhesive covering of the main body to hold the container in place on said pad, this dressing being characterized in that said container has a portion in the form of bulb, a sole extending horizontally outward from the lower end of the bulb-shaped part, a bottom wall, consisting of a thin sheet which closes the lower opening of the shaped part of bulb, and a projecting part extending downward from the central part of the upper wall of the container, to break the thin sheet when pressed on the upper wall, this part in the form of a bulb containing the medicinal agent, in that said projection has a lower end which is at

  contact, or located close to the thin sheet, in that the loose sheet

  According to this invention, the peelable sheet and the container do not

  are not molded so as to form an integral part of each other, and

  sequent, they can be made separately and using different materials. Thanks to this characteristic, these two components can be produced from a very wide choice of materials and using a wide variety of processes, which facilitates the production of dressings using materials

  The bulb-shaped part of the container is exposed above the sheet

  detachable by peeling, while the sole of this container is held in place

  terposition between the upper and lower bands of the sheet. The result

  the container is held securely in place on the tampon.

  Since the peel-off sheet does not cover the bulb-shaped part of the container and this bulb-shaped part protrudes above the peel-off sheet, the latter is always close to the main body, despite the presence of the container, since the peelable sheet is sufficiently and securely attached to the adhesive covering of the main body, so that the pad is protected by the peelable sheet

  much safer than in known dressings.

  Since the bulb-shaped part of the container is disengaged and protrudes above the peelable sheet by peeling and the container sole is held between the upper strip and the lower strip of the peelable sheet, the projection, allowing to break the thin sheet, can be subjected to a pressure without the container being able to move under the detachable sheet, since this container is held firmly. The user's finger can therefore directly touch the container, allowing

precise rupture of the latter.

  In the dressing according to the invention, the sole of the container is held between the upper strip and the lower strip of the release sheet. As a result, the container, during its storage or during the rupture of its bottom wall, cannot slide, relative to the pad, on the adhesive coating of the

  main body of the dressing, and therefore adhere to it, which could pro-

  evoke a deformation of the dressing or cause difficulties in removing the dressing after rupture. The container, which is held by the peelable sheet, can be removed with this sheet very easily, and therefore the

  container cannot remain attached to the main body and / or the buffer after evacuation

  covered with the detachable sheet by peeling, but is released above this sheet, the aesthetic appearance of the dressing is simple, and its size is

  limited, despite the presence of the container, if compared to a dressing presented

  as a container which is completely covered with a peelable sheet by pe-

  age. The projecting part ensuring the breaking of the thin sheet can be molded using a synthetic resin, so as to form an integral part of the upper wall of the container. Preferably, this projecting part has the shape of a cone or an inverted pyramid having a lower end

  or an acute lower angle, or alternatively it may have a semi-

  spherical, to act concentrically on the thin sheet.

  According to the invention, the upper wall of the container can be provided with a substantially flat surface, in order to facilitate the application of pressure on the

  container top wall. The shape of the latter can be circular, ellip-

  tick or similar. When the pad is rectangular, the container can present

  ter a rectangular shape which corresponds to the shape of the stamp.

  According to the present invention, the tampon can comprise an absorbent material

  attached to the upper surface of the main body of the dressing, and a net

  the absorbent material and maintained, wholly or in part, by its periphery

  exterior, on the adhesive coating of the main body of the dressing.

  The bulb-shaped part of the container can be made from materials chosen, for example, from the group which includes: polypropylene, polyethylene and similar polyolefins, although the choice of these materials depends on the type of l medicinal agent kept in the container. The bulb-shaped part of this container can be transparent or semi-transparent,

  to reveal the presence or absence of the outside medicinal agent.

  Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention emerge

  from the description given below with reference to the attached drawing, which in it-

  We first refer to Figures 1 to 3, which illustrate a first

  ment that the medicinal agent 9 can be applied on, or can impregnate, the tampon

  3 gradually and uniformly, without flowing suddenly.

  When the protruding part 10 in contact with the thin sheet 7 is lifted

  when pressure is applied, the pad 3 in contact with the thin sheet 7 is compressed under the effect of the pressure which is exerted in its central part, which allows the part of the thin sheet 7 subjected to the pressure of the projecting part 10 to be biased downwards, thus causing a tension force which acts concentrically on this part of the thin sheet 7, causing easy breakage of this sheet. It follows that the lower end of the protruding part 10 is not necessarily pointed, but that it may have

  the shape of a circular arc, an inverted trapezoid, or the like. When the extreme

  lower part of the projecting part 10 is thus positioned in contact with the thin sheet 7, or close to the latter, this thin sheet 7 can be immediately broken under the effect of the pressure exerted by the projecting part 10.

  The embodiment of the tampon 3 is not limited to that which is shown

  presented in Figures 1 and 3, and we can consider various variants. For example, in the embodiment illustrated in Figure 4, the pad 3 comprises an absorbent material 31, consisting for example of absorbent cotton, gauze or

  of a similar material, and a thin flexible net 32, covering the material

  absorbent line 31. The net 32 is maintained at the adhesive coating 2 by its parts

  peripheral ties 33-33. This net can, for example, consist of poly-

ethylene.

  We now refer to Figure 5, which illustrates an example of realization

Claims (9)
