Abstract

The invention relates to a device for connecting a vacuum pump to containers containing foodstuffs. The device comprises a washer 1 serving to obstruct the hole for extracting air from the body 2, a rigid washer 8 permits crushing of the seal 1, and a spring 7 permits pressure-holding of the pieces 1 and 8. A threaded part 9 is provided on the piece 8, which permits resetting to atmospheric pressure, and the piece 3 is a wing nut or knurled nut serving for fastening the piece 2 onto the container to be equipped. The piece 5 is the upper stopper embedded in the piece 2 and serving as a guide for the spring 7, the piece 5 comprises a takeoff for connection of a vacuum pump, and a seal 4 makes it possible to guarantee the leaktightness of the lid of the container.
