Abstract

The invention relates to two devices, for protecting the legs, in the form of boots which have to withstand snake bites and stings from freshwater rays and which are to be used by divers working with pump dredgers in gold-bearing creeks and rivers and those bearing precious stones, on the American continent. It consists of two parts, a front part which forms one half of the boot 1, the other being a rear legging 2 forming the other half. These two parts are held by means of 2 hinges 3 permitting the articulation of the rear legging 2 which is closed by a patented rapid opening and closure system 5 and retained by a hook 4. The safety device opens rapidly when necessary in the event of danger. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for protecting the legs against animal stings and bites.
