Abstract

The invention relates to a device allowing, by dissuasion, the theft of car radios to be made impossible. It comprises, welded to the internal face of the facade-concealing element 9, a pipe 1 equipped with a clip 2 intended to hold closed, when the car radio is installed, a small piece of steel 3 in the shape of an arrow mounted on a support 4 connected, via a wire 5, to the plug 6 of a flask 7, containing acid or mercury, or to an explosive fuse. The introduction of the pipe as far as the small arrow is done through an orifice 10 made in the cut-out 8 and a further orifice 11 in the facade of the car radio. When the facade-concealing element is positioned, the arrow is pushed into the pipe and actuates the clip which traps it; the device is engaged. In order to take the car radio, the thief will have to remove the facade-concealing element which, pulling out the plug or the fuse, will irreparably destroy the circuit. The dissuasion effect of the device is obtained by drawing attention to its presence.

Description

 The present invention relates to an anti-theft device for a car radio making it possible to deter any thief from stealing it.

 An impressive number of car radios are stolen each year, without any current device being successful in reducing its importance.

 Known devices, the audible alarm installed on board a vehicle, have not improved this situation, mainly because of the noise pollution it usually causes and sometimes leads intem estively due to its lack of reliability, removing any deterrent effect.

 Other devices consist in housing the car radio in a removable case allowing its removal. These devices, to be effective in all circumstances, oblige the user to take charge of the position qugob wants to protect from theft, each time he leaves his car. This heavy constraint will quickly become unbearable and he will give it up.

 The device according to the invention makes it possible to avoid these drawbacks by dissuading the thief from taking the unnecessary risk of fraudulently appropriating a car radio put, by himself by dismantling it to take it, definitively out of order, worthless .

 However, this deterrent effect will only be obtained if the thief is widely warned and informed, by advertising and the distinctive mark engraved on the post and windows of the vehicle, of the existence of the device according to the invention.

 I1 in fact comprises welded to the internal face of the front cover a small pipe of small diameter provided with a powerful perpendicular clip; to its axis intended to receive and hold firm, by pressure, a small piece of steel in the shape of an arrow of corresponding diameter mounted at the height of the clip by a round support with a flange, fixed on the internal face of the shoemaker.

 The support is sawn to its center to let pass a resistant wire which connects the piece, as the case may be, to the stopper of a flask containing a little acid or mercury, to a primer and to its explosive charge or to vital elements of the car radio circuit.

 The introduction of the pipe to the small arrow is made through an opening in the cutout and another formed on the front of the station.

 When the station is installed with its front cover on the cutout provided by the manufacturer, the arrow-shaped part sinks into the pipe and activates the clip which traps it; the device is engaged, the station can no longer be stolen without it being, by self-destruction, deteriorated so irreparably that the thief will have no other choice, informed of this by a distenctive mark engraved on the station and the windows of the vehicle, than to renounce his act.

 Figure 1 shows, in section, the device according to the invention.

 The device shown in Figure 1 has a small pipe (l) of 3 cm and 6 om in diameter provided 1.5 cm from its base with a powerful clip (2) perpendicular to its axis, welded to the front cover (9) of the station and intended to receive and hold firm, when the station is installed, a small steel piece (3) in the form of an arrow mounted on a support (4) connected by a wire (5) resistant and stretched, with the stopper (6) of a small flask (7) containing a little acid or mercury.

 An orifice (10) formed on the cutout provided by the manufacturer, and another (11) on the facade allow the introduction of the pipe up to the arrow-shaped part.

 The station is installed with its front cover on the cutout (8).

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended to protect car radios from theft by the deterrent effect it creates on thieves widely informed of its existence by advertising.

 1 / Anti-theft device for radio, allowing by the self-destruction that it generates, to dissuade the possible thief from-appropriating it, characterized in that it comprises welded to the internal face of the front cover (9) a small pipe (1) provided with a powerful clip (2) perpendicular to its axis intended to receive and hold firm, by pressure, a small steel part (3) in the shape of an arrow of corresponding diameter, mounted at the height of the clip by a support (4) with a rim, fixed on the internal face of the shoemaker.  The support is sawn to its center to let through a resistant wire (5) which connects the piece (3) as the case may be, to the stopper (6) of a small vial (7) containing a little acid or mercury, to a primer and its explosive charge or to the vital elements of the electrical circuit of 11 radio.  The introduction of the pipe (1) to the room (3) is done through an orifice (10) formed on the cutout and an orifice (11) formed for this purpose on the facade of the station.  2 / Device according to claim 1 characterized in that when the noste ast lntallé with its facade cover (9) on the cutout (8) provided by the manufacturer, the small arrow (3) sinks into the pipe (1) and activates the clip (2) which traps it; the device is engaged.
