Abstract

The subject of the invention relates to a device for dental splinting and reconstruction by magnetic fixation. It consists of the combination, on the one hand, of permanent magnets or magnetic suckers 4, 5 integral with the support abutments or teeth 1, 2 situated on either side of the partial anodontia and, on the other hand of a magnetic metal or grid mounting 8 integral with the prosthesis 7 and in contact with the stabilizing magnets over their whole attraction surfaces. It is intended for reconstructing teeth on the dental arches and for stabilizing them in their functional position without trauma to the support teeth or the gums.

Description

 The object of the invention relates to a dental restraint and reconstruction device by magnetic fixation.

 It is intended to reconstitute the teeth on the dental arches and to stabilize them in their functional position without traumatising either the supporting teeth or the gum.

 It is known, in addition to the conventional means of dental restraint by bridge or the like, to use fixing magnets which are available, either on implants placed in the gums which traumatized the flesh and did not always allow sufficient stabilization. .

 The object of the invention eliminates these drawbacks and allows, without traumatizing the teeth or the gums, the reconstruction of the teeth on the dental arches avoiding heavy and bulky equipment by magnetic contact on large contact surfaces of single or multiple frameworks integrated with the prosthesis attached with permanent magnets positioned on the lingual or palatal surfaces, receiving abutments or vice versa.

 It is made up of a combination, on the one hand, of permanent magnets or magnetic suction cups integrated into the pillars or supporting teeth located on either side of the tooth structure and, on the other hand, of a mesh or metal mount. magnetic integrated in the prosthesis and contacting the stabilizing magnets on all their attraction surfaces.

Figure 1 shows seen in elevation, the device as a whole.

 Figures 4 to 10 are elevation and plan views showing alternative embodiments of the same device.

 The containment and fixing device is constituted by two small magnets or strong magnetic suction cups 4, 5 embedded in the teeth 1, 2 bordering the toothlessness.

These two permanent magnets make it possible to subtend the rigid magnetic grid 8 serving as a frame suspended from the attached tooth 7.

 This metal frame contacts the magnets 4, 5 on their largest surfaces, so that the juxtaposition, preferably without intermediate spaces, immobilizes and stabilizes the tooth 7.

 These magnets (fig 2, 3) are of regular geometric shape and covered by a lining 7, 8 isolating the corrosive effects of saliva with protruding anchoring or assembly pins 9, 10 to immobilize them in the boreholes practiced for their positioning and immobilize with an adhesive that is also resistant to saliva.

 In order to strengthen the connection of one or more prostheses, FIGS. 4, 5, permanent magnets 13, 14 are implanted in the attached teeth 11, 12 which adhere to the frame 15 retained on the healthy teeth 16, 16 ′.

 It is also possible to arm these prosthesis teeth 17 with a magnetic metal frame 18, 18 ′ in contact with the magnet 19 and retained by the mounts 20, 21 immobilized on the teeth 22, 23 - by the magnets 24, 25 .

 It is also possible to fix the pillars 22, 23, FIG. 6, the magnets 24, 25 and to connect them by a wire or magnetic mesh 34 (see also FIG. 8).

 The cubicles can be replaced (FIG. 10) by a support forming a slide 43 receiving a magnet 44 which is fixed by any suitable means.

 In order to reinforce the teeth 41 which may or may not carry magnetic mounts 42 depending on whether they are added or not.

 When the abutment teeth are already devitalized, the covering of these teeth 3, 4, (fig 1, 4, 5) their covering will be done with a ferro-magnetic stainless alloy.

 We practice making a cubicle where a magnet will be embedded which will block the wire mesh or the frame of the attached tooth against the metal of the crown.

 These prosthesis teeth are immediately adjustable.

These coverings may be made of conductive precious metals based on platinum or other magnetic metal.

 The magnets thus embedded can also be covered with a synthetic resin to ensure its final stability at the same time as its salivary isolation.

 In the event of dental mobility (fig 7,8), the pillar teeth 26, 27, 28, 29 are provided with retaining magnets 30, 31, 32, 33 immobilizing a wire or a magnetic mesh 34 or a cast metal matching the internal edges, all teeth 41 on their lingual or palatal side.

 These straps can be single or double.

 It is finally possible to reinforce the implantation (fig 9) by arming the tooth 35 by a vertical implantation of a mesh or magnetic metallic frame 36 and by practicing cubicles 37, 38, either with total opening, or with retention by profile in dovetail 38, so that the mortise 38 retains the magnets 39, 40 causing a double traction reinforcing implantation. These aiamnts are provided with an anchoring or assembly rod.

 All the assemblies or assemblies adapted to each case of implantation are possible and the tooth or prosthesis will be magnetically sealed by contact of the frame on the high power magnetic suction cup.

 This is why, the shapes, dimensions and arrangements of the various elements, may vary within the limit of equivalents, like the materials used for their manufacture, without changing the general conception of the invention which comes from this. to be described.

 This is how the magnet can be replaced by a prosthesis or a support made of magnetic resin or magnetic elastomer.
