Abstract

The invention relates to a machine which dispenses self-adhesive labels 1 and 2 which are placed on a strip 3, and places them on a bottle 5. The labels are placed simultaneously on the same face of the bottles by pressure from a buffer 15 of a cylinder 14. The advance of the strip is effected intermittently by means of a roller 13 driven by pinions 33, 34, 35 from the machine itself. When a label has to be placed on a set-back part of a bottle, the presser buffers 15 and 29 retain the labels by means of suction and the buffer 29 advances by means of a cam 28 towards the bottle. This machine according to the invention is intended particularly for labelling bottles.
