Abstract

Method making it possible to right a construction which is no longer vertical as a result of differential settlement of its foundation. It consists in lifting part of the building in order to set it in a vertical position again, by bearing on the end of rigid girders positioned perpendicularly to the facades which have settled the most and themselves lying on the ground outside the building, at a level close to that of the foundations. A device comprising a metal clamp makes it possible to apply the lifting force supplied by a jack to the centre of gravity of the foundation pad. Once the righting operation has been completed, the building is connected to the ground outside it by a concrete slab, the structure of which lies on the girders.
