Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a signal lamp for monitoring states

  for operating electrical or electronic circuits, said lamp being composed of an envelope of transparent material, provided with a threaded connection, and at least one light-emitting diode, mounted inside the casing, whose cable power

crosses the envelope.

  Known control lamps are often used for

  control of operation in electrical and electrical circuits

  particularly in distribution cabinets in mines, for example, to check for the appearance of

  circuit operation.

  For this purpose, these control lamps, which are provided with a

  external thread, are screwed into a fixed female part.

  However, until now, the power cables of these

  indicator lamps twisted during screwing.

  Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a control lamp of the type mentioned above in which one

  prevents twisting of the cable during screwing.

  This object of the invention is achieved by providing an envelope

  freely rotatable relative to the power cable.

  The light-emitting diode therefore sits in a socket that is

  mounted with proper clearance in the diode envelope.

  Around the power cable coming out of the envelope is provided a suitable collar with a cable clamp, which rests on the envelope, which can still turn freely through

compared to the cable clamp.

  As shown in the Figure, the base 22 is provided with an axially extending protrusion 28, which is located between the two wires 24 and separates them from one another so as, on the one hand, to insulation between them and, on the other hand, to absorb any forces, in particular compression forces, acting on the

wire or cable.

  At the connecting end of the casing 12, there is a tip 32 which has a disk 34 forming a seat for the cable clamp 30 which is mounted inside the casing and is connected, fixed for example, to the cable 26, in order to protect the diode 20

  pulling forces from the outside.

  The tip is preferably glued into the open end of the envelope 12. It has a central opening for the passage of the cable 26. After the insertion of the tip 32 into the envelope 12,

  the cable clamp 30 can rest on the disc 34 of the end piece 32.

  On the other hand, between the cable 26 and the cable clamp 30 on the one hand,

  and the tip 32 on the other hand, there is no other connection.

  Thus, the casing can rotate freely relative to the diode 20, the base 22, the cable clamp 30 and the supply cable 26. This means that when the casing 12 is screwed by its external thread 14 in a female part of the circuit to be monitored,

  the cable 26 remains stationary, without twisting.

  To increase the luminous intensity, the wall of the envelope 12, above the diode 20, is designed in the form of a lens 36 and the wall of the chamber 42, inside which is located the

  diode 20, has longitudinal ribs.

  The envelope 12, the base 22 and the tip 32 are made of

synthetic insulating.

  The indicator lamp is suitable, for example, for intrinsically safe circuits already mentioned, in particular in mining operations.

  1) A lamp for monitoring the operating states of electrical or electronic circuits, consisting of a transparent material envelope (12) provided with a threaded connection (14) and at least one light-emitting diode (20), mounted inside the casing, whose power cable (26) passes through said casing, characterized in that the casing (12) can rotate   freely relative to the power cable (26).   2) A control lamp according to claim 1, wherein the diode (20) is mounted on a base (22), characterized in that the base (22) has a projection (28) which is between the wires (24) of the power cable (26).   3) A control lamp according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the upper part of the casing (12) has the shape of a lens (36) and in that the inner face of its side wall has ribs (38), to increase the light output of the lamp.   4) Control lamp according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized   in that a cable clamp (30) is provided around the cable (26),   the cable clamp (30) resting in the casing (12).
