Abstract

Depilatory device for a production line for slaughtering and cutting up livestock animals. It consists of a single station 1, 2 allowing the combination of hair removing by electric static effect 3, 4, 5, 6 and simultaneous burning by fuel gases 17 such as electron torches or the like. It is intended to replace the heating, scalding and depilating stations in automated automatic production lines in order to make them more economical, more hygienic and to reduce the risks to workers.

Description

 Hair removal device for slaughtering and cutting chains for slaughter animals.

 It is intended for the removal of scalding, scalding and dehairing stations in robotic automatic chains in order to make them more economical, more hygienic and reduce the risks of personnel.

 In the robotization of the slaughter chains of pigs, bleeding, washing and then scalding are carried out to allow de-piling and finally burning.

 Scalding and epilating stations with expensive installations and slowing down the chain while providing more or less reliable results.

 The object of the invention relates to a device eliminating the scalding, depilation and burning stations allowing direct passage to cutting.

 It is constituted by a single station allowing combination of a lifting of hairs by static electricity effect and simultaneous burning by combustible gases such as plasma torches or equivalent.

In the appended drawings given by way of nonlimiting example of one of the embodiments of the subject of the invention:
Figure 1 shows a view in elevation and in section of the hair removal device.

 Figure 2 shows an application of the device on a slaughter line.

 There is a known phenomenon, it is that of the effect on the hair of the static electricity emitters which oblige the personnel to work with nets holding the hair which stands up and hinders the operators in their work.

 It is this effect that is applied to the hair removal of meat animals and more particularly pigs.

 To this end, the device used consists of a casing with two movable and reconcilable elements 1 and 2. These two capacities are provided on their transverse as well as longitudinal walls with static electricity emitters 3, 4, 5, 6.

 These mobile sectors 1, 2 are sealed with elements 7, 8 coating the chain 9 and the lower and peripheral parts 10, 11. They are mounted on a bearing 12, 13, 14, 15 and its rail 16. The casings are made of material dielectric and insulating with walls forming a thermal partition.

 A fuel gas supply 17 with ignition 18 forms an arc plasma torch. It makes it possible to pass a significant electrical energy while the gas can be brought to 40,000 for a few hundredths of seconds. This lightning bolt completely consumes the hairs raised to the root without damaging the epidermis. These gas emissions are adjustable volume and interval.

 The static electricity generators activated by the conductive gas have their action increased by the fact that the rail sector 27 passing through the station 20 is isolated with earth connection 26 comprising a circuit breaker 28.

 The carcass 25 is therefore either polarized or insulated and the grounding prevents any cause of accident.

A cold gas supply 24 can be provided to avoid overheating;
With this device, it is possible immediately after the bleeding station to go to the depilatory station 20 or even possibly to interpose a washing and drying station 21, 22 to go directly to cutting 23.

 This very fast and efficient thermal shock simplifies the automatic slaughtering and slicing chains for slaughter animals, lowering the cost price and allowing both rapid, hygienic and economical work while eliminating the risk of accidents caused by scalding.

 However, the shapes, dimensions and arrangements of the various elements may vary in the equivalent limitedes as, moreover, the materials used for their manufacture without thereby changing the general design of the invention which has just been described.

 10 Depilation device for slaughtering animals slaughtering line to remove the scalding, scalding and depilation stations and obtain a better performance from a hygienic point of view, economical while mitigating risks for personnel, by the new application of static electricity and a combustible gas such as plasma for the burning of straightened hairs, characterized by the combination of an opening casing (12) with dielectric walls and forming a thermal partition provided powerful static electricity emitters (3, 4, 5, 6) and others with distribution of plasma gas (17), igniter (18) and arc (19), earthing (26) and cooling (24) .  20 Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the sectors (1,2) of the opening casing are mounted on rolling members (12,13,14,15) with upper peripheral sealing elements (7,8) and lower (10,11). and comprises fuel gas adductors (18) with arc and ignition elements (19) as well as a cold gas inlet (24).  30 Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the rail sector (27) passing through the casing is insulated and includes an earth connection (26) with circuit breaker (28).  40 Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the depilation station (20) is placed immediately after the slaughter station and before the cutting station (23).
