Description

The present invention relates to a ring for a fishing line float.

It is known that, generally, the fishing line floats are linked to the wire of the latter by means of wedging rings and / or loops crossed by said wire.

These rings and loops are closed, so that the assembly of a float on a line requires either to be carried out before the assembly of the line, or to disassemble the line previously completed.

 It is therefore particularly annoying, especially in fishing competitions, to have to disassemble your line to change a defective ring, loop or float.

The present invention overcomes this drawback.

To this end, according to the invention, the ring for a fishing line float is remarkable in that it is constituted by a helical winding of a spring wire. Thus, it is possible to pass the wire through the ring without having to dismantle the fishing line, simply by introducing said wire between the turns of said ring.

Preferably, said helical winding has contiguous turns.

Advantageously, in order in particular to be able to transform a fixed float into a sliding float, at least one of the ends of the wire constituting said helical winding forms an auxiliary helical winding with contiguous turns, external to said winding and with an axis at least approximately parallel to that of this last.

Of course, the ring according to the invention is provided in a plurality of diameters in order to be able to adapt to different floats and to different parts thereof.

The figures of the appended drawing will make it clear how the invention can be implemented.

Figure 1 illustrates in perspective a ring according to the present invention.

Figure 2 shows an example of a known float for a fishing line.

Figures 3,4 and 5 illustrate different uses of the ring according to the invention.

The ring 1, according to the invention and shown in FIG. 1, is constituted by the helical winding with contiguous turns of a spring wire 2.

At one of its ends, the spring wire 2 forms an auxiliary helical winding 3, also with contiguous turns. The auxiliary helical winding 3 is external to the main winding 1 and its axis is at least approximately parallel to that of the latter.

The ring 1 is intended for multiple uses for the arrangement of the floats relative to the wire of a fishing line.

In Figure 2, there is shown an example, among many other possible, of float for fishing line.

This comprises a body of cork or balsa 4, an antenna 5 and a keel 6. This float is linked to the line 7 of the fishing line by means of a loop 8 and a ring 9.

The loop 8 is fixed at its ends to the lower end of the keel 6 by a winding of wire 10.

This loop 8 is freely crossed by the wire 7 of the fishing line. The ring 9, which can slide relative to the body 4 of the float, presses the wire 7 against the body 4 and its action makes it possible to fix the float in position along the wire 7.

Generally, the loop 8 is constituted by a closed loop of a brass wire or the like, while the ring 9 is made of a synthetic material.

It is easily understood that when the loop 8 or the ring 9 breaks, which often happens in fishing, the float is no longer correctly linked to the wire, so that it can no longer fulfill its function as a key indicator.

The present invention overcomes this drawback.

Indeed, because of its helical winding structure, the ring 1 can easily be passed over the wire 7, without dismantling the fishing line; it suffices to pass the wire 7 between the turns of said winding until said wire passes through the ring internally. As a result, if the loop 8 or the ring 9 are damaged and can no longer fulfill their function, we can put in their place a ring 1, of appropriate diameter, which will clamp the fi1'7 against the body 4 or the keel 6 (see figure 3).

 In addition, thanks to the ring 1 according to the invention, it is possible to transform the float of FIG. 2 into a sliding float, without dismantling the fishing line. For this, it suffices to secure one or more rings 1 by wedging on the float, then to introduce the wire 7 into the auxiliary winding 3, by passing it between the turns of the latter (see FIG. 4).

Likewise, the ring 1 according to the invention offers the possibility of binding the wire 7 of the fishing line to the float, by wedging said wire 7 between the first and the second turn of the main winding (see FIG. 5).

1 - Ring for fishing line float, characterized in that it is constituted by a helical winding (1) of a spring wire (2). 2 - Ring according to claim 1, characterized in that said helical winding (1) has contiguous turns. 3 - Ring according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that at least one of the ends of the wire (2) constituting said helical winding (1) forms an auxiliary helical winding (3) with contiguous turns, external to said winding (1) and axis at least approximately parallel to that of the latter.
