Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for fastening handles to a utilitarian object, in particular to a cooking utensil. It consists in fitting the object 2 with an attachment having the shape of an essentially flat element 6, made from a ductile, preferably metallic, material, which attachment engages into a groove 7 of the handle 1 in question. This handle is equipped with at least one opening 5 permitting access to the flat element in a direction essentially perpendicular to the latter and which is extended by an impression 9, which preferably does not emerge on the other side of the groove. From these openings, it is then possible to form one (or more) lug(s) 3 on the flat element 6, in order to firmly and permanently secure the handle to its attachment.
