Abstract

The invention relates to rollers which are driven freely, or by means of belts, chains or bands, etc. The aim of the invention is to reduce the resistance to rotation of rollers in their liquid, by balancing the weight of the roller with a ballasting liquid (liquid filling) L (Fig. 3) or a weight K (Fig. 5). The weight is placed at the axial and longitudinal centre of the roller. This invention applies to passing films and papers on the rollers of developing machines.
