Abstract

The invention relates to a device indicating to a sea diver a constant predetermined speed of ascent. It is constituted by a box 1 whose end is conical. Inside at the cone end there is a balancing ballast 3 and at the other end is a closure block 2. The device which is watertight and does not deform at the normal pressure of use has a bulk density less than that of water so that it ascends towards the surface at a given speed which is regulated by the balancing mass. The submerged diver has only to release the apparatus and follow it at a constant distance.
