Abstract

The invention relates to tubular lightweight packagings of triangular cross section. It is produced by folding the rectangular panels (blanks) 1, 2, 3 and 4 along the axes BK, CL and DM, the panels (blanks) 1 and 4 being superimposed in order to form the base of a triangular prism. The ends of the panels (blanks) 2 and 3 are folded back inside the tube along the folding lines BF, DF, GK and GM in such a way that the segments CF and GL of the common edge are perpendicular to the plane of the panels (blanks) 1 and 3. Among the more attractive applications of the invention is the production of postal packagings and packagings for fluorescent tubes.

Description

 The present invention relates to packaging, and more particularly to packaging made of cardboard, corrugated cardboard, cardboard of agglomerated fibers, cardboard, plastic, or similar materials, in the form of foldable sheets or blanks. The invention relates to a packaging which is particularly suitable for packaging and / or dispatching rolled documents, calendars, plans, fluorescent tubes and more generally any oblong object or any stacking of cylindrical objects. It also makes it possible to produce "BLISTER" type packaging which does not require a sophisticated machine for its production. The dimension that can be given to such transparent packaging being a particularly effective means of combating theft.

 The packaging obtained according to the invention is of an extremely simple embodiment, does not in any way require the production of complex cuts in the original blank, generating falls. It also makes it possible to protect the ends of the packaged product. Its closure can, in a very simple way (for example: manual application of a simple piece of personalized adhesive tape) give a tamper-proof packaging without having to use sophisticated equipment.

 One of the main interests of the invention lies in the storage of flat packaging, a big saving of space compared to the storage of cylindrical elements traditionally used for the conservation or the sending of rolled documents: plans, calendars, etc.

 I1 should be noted on the other hand, that the extraction of a rolled sheet of such packaging is easily carried out since the "box" opens fully; it is not the same to extract a sheet from a solid cylinder.

 The subject of the invention is a packaging of triangular cross section obtained by folding a rectangular blank of cardboard, corrugated cardboard, cardboard, cardboard of agglomerated fibers, more or less transparent plastic materials or any similar material generally used in the production of 'light packaging.

 The folding of the inside ends forms the basic principle of the invention. This folding can be greatly facilitated if a calabie-calabie of the blank has softened the material of constitution according to the lnflectzon lines provided.

ne rectangular zée in four more or less equal parallel parts. Two of these parts overlap, which gives a tubular packaging of triangular section. The adjacent angles of two of the equal and consecutive rectan tangles are folded back inside the packaging in such a way that the edge common to these two rectangles is folded at right angles and is found in the plane of the generatrix of the prism. The length of this folding corresponds substantially to the height of the isosceles triangle forming the section of the prism whose equal sides correspond to the sides of the two consecutive rectangles mentioned above. Such a folding makes it possible to completely obstruct the ends of the tube of triangular section, and is completely unstoppable when the 2 overlapping rectangles are made integral by any hooking means.

 According to a first variant of the invention, the equal consecutive rectangles obtained by a primary tubular bending, and whose angles are folded to obstruct the ends of the tube thus formed, are the two central elements of the primary bending. The two overlapping rectangles will therefore be located on either side of these so-called rectangles.

To close such packaging, several solutions are then possible
- the use of a simple adhesive tape, binding the outer flap on the tube is extremely easy and ensures the inviolability of the packaging,
- the outer flap can be provided internally with a double-sided adhesive or receive any glue,
- specific shapes can be produced during the cutting of the blank so that the tube is closed by fitting or fitting these shapes in counterparts provided in this regard,
- on the other hand, this packaging can be closed by stapling, buttoning or riveting, such a device simultaneously making it possible to create the attachment means during the production of packaging for display material in transparent material,
- Embossing the blanks also allows, associated or not with a bonding, to close the device.

According to a second variant of the invention, the equal consecutive rectangles whose angles are folded to obstruct the ends of the tube are the first two of the primary folding. I1 is then necessary to provide on the last rectangle serving as a flap a folding of these external angles allowing the nesting of these in the folding of the first two rectangles. The packaging can then be closed by
- the use of adhesive tape to bind the outer flap to the tube by a double-sided adhesive or by the use of a conventional glue, or by the interlocking of specific shapes made during the cutting of the blank.

 It goes without saying that such a packaging can incorporate all the characteristics mentioned above overall or in combination with one another.

 The accompanying drawings are given only by way of nonlimiting example.

 Figure 3 shows an exploded view of one end of the packaging according to the invention.

Figure 1 shows a rectangular blank cut from a sheet of transparent plastic. It is quite obvious that the choice of this material was retained only as an example and that the realization of a packaging in corrugated double-sided cardboard or in any other material will not add anything to the innovation of the invention.  Simultaneously with the "rolling" of the primary triangular tube, the retraction of the BDF and KMG triangles makes it possible to obstruct the tube thus formed, the position of the CF and GL folds becoming perpendicular to the base blank (4). The triangles AEH and JIN are slid inside the folds CBF and GLK, a collage of the blank (1) on the blank. (2), and the "roof" has become inviolable. I1 is possible for example to apply an adhesive tape binding the blank (2) to the blank (4), a very simple method which gives a packaging of good aesthetic appearance and excellent rigidity.

 When producing packaging according to the invention, it may be advantageous to choose an equilateral triangular section. It is thus possible to obtain a very rational stacking of the full packages, the latter also allowing effective protection of the contents in the event of impact.

 The nonlimiting examples thus described show that it is, according to the invention, possible to produce a whole series of boxes, packaging, display stands, etc. Particularly advantageous applications can be the production of postal packaging, storage elements, fluorescent tube packaging, presentation packaging and more generally packaging for all oblong objects or stacks of objects requiring good lateral and end protection.

Claims (10)

 1) Triangular section packaging made in a rectangular AENJ blank, made of cardboard, corrugated cardboard, cardboard, cardboard of agglomerated fibers, plastic or similar materials, usable for light packaging, comprising three rectangular side faces ABKJ, BCLK and CDML as well as optionally to Dllaae a DENM covering tian, linked together by lines / parallels BK, CL, and DM characterized in that the ends of two equal consecutive blanks BCLK and CDML forming two of the walls of the triangular prism are folded in a bevel towards the inside of said prism so that the parts CF and GL of their common edge CL are perpendicular to the plane determined by the flank ABKJ serving as a basis for the triangular prism, the length of these parts CF and GL being substantially equal to the sides of the two rectangles and serving respectively, with these adjacent sides, with sides equal to the isosceles right triangles BCF , CFD, GKL, and GLM folded inward around the respective fold axes BF, FD, GK, and GM, hypotheses of said triangles.  2) Packaging according to claim 1 characterized in that the covering blank DENM and the basic blank ABKI are located on either side of the equal rectangular blanks BCLK and DENM whose ends are folded inwards of the triangular prism formed by folding the blanks around the axes BK, CL and DM.  3) Packaging according to claim 2 characterized in that the closure thereof is obtained by stapling or riveting the blanks overlapping in the triangular areas ABC and JKL, determined by the tuck-in of the ends of the rectangular sides.  4) Packaging according to claim 1 characterized in that the covering blank is consecutive to the blank serving as a base for the triangular prism and in that these external angles are folded in a bevel so that they are housed inside the BCF folds and GKJ.  5) Packaging according to claim 4 characterized in that its closure is achieved by the association of the outer edge of the rectangle having subl the tuck-in with the base of the triangular prism formed, this connection can be achieved by using adhesive tape.  6) Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is made of transparent material in the form of a foldable sheet.  7) Packaging obtained according to any one of claims 1 to 6.  8) Use of a packaging according to claim 7 as postal packaging.  9) Use of a packaging according to claim 7 as anti-theft presentation packaging.  10) Use of a packaging according to claim 7 as packaging for fluorescent tubes.
