Abstract

The subject of the present invention is an electric drive wheel for vehicles. This wheel is characterised in that it is itself an electric motor. The motor forms part of the wheel, it is included in the outer envelope of a conventional wheel. The electric motor is one of the numerous known types but it is inverted, the shaft is stationary and it is the outer envelope which rotates, the usual rotor is thus stationary and the stator mobile.
