Abstract

Retractable table/bar activated by electromechanical motion. The invention consits of an electromechanical device making it possible to bring forth or to retract a small bar in a hostess trolley table. The advantage of this device certainly lies in the surprise which the silent and discreet arrival of the bar will cause. The device comprises an electric motor 21 whose rotation in one direction or the other is transmitted by a set of pulleys 18 and 19, connected by a transmission belt 32 having an adjustable tension to an endless screw 30 inserted into the threaded centre of the bar tray. The motion of this screw causes the ascent or the descent of the bar. A circuit breaker system 3 brings the bar to a stop at the desired levels, that is to say in the "service" position or in the "retraction" position. The motions are controlled by a two-way switch.
