Abstract

Spray arm for washing according to Claim 1 of the main patent, intended to fulfil different cleaning tasks by employing the spraying of water under pressure. According to the present addition, the spraying arm 6 ends in a sleeve 24 into which there may be inserted various accessories 28, the pressurised liquid being applied with the aid of a dirigible nozzle 25 and the spraying arm being telescopic. Applications: for washing bus shelters, telephone kiosks, signposts, for the spray application of antiadhesives, treatment of wood, roofs, and the like.

Description

CLEANING LANCE
The present addition relates to cleaning accessories intended to be mounted and to cooperate with a sizing device which is the subject of French patent number 83 06427 filed on April 20, 1983.

We have described in this patent a sizing device comprising a motor-pump connected alternately by a valve to a water tank and to a glue tank, the motor pump being connected to a flexible pipe terminated by a lance 6. This device allows to uniformly distribute on a panel an emulsion of glue by spraying it then, by inverting the valves, to spray rinsing water intended in particular to clean the edges of the display panel. This provides a source of pressurized water for cleaning.

The present addition relates to cleaning accessories intended to cooperate with a device according to the main patent, allowing very effective cleaning not only of the edges of a panel but also of different surfaces.

According to the present addition, the device of the type described in the main patent is characterized in that the lance is terminated by a sleeve, carrying at least one nozzle and capable of receiving different accessories.

According to another characteristic of the present addition, the lance comprises at least two telescopic elements, the piping connected to the nozzle being wound in a helix over at least part of its length around the lance.

Other characteristics and advantages of the present addition will appear during the following description of particular embodiments, given only by way of nonlimiting examples, with reference to the drawings which represent - Fig.l, a view a telescopic lance equipped with a

In Fig.l, the lance is generally designated, as in the main patent, by the reference 6. A flexible pipe 5 is wound in a helix or serpentine around the lance 6. The latter is constituted, by example, by two aluminum tubes and, for convenience, it has been shown in Fig.l in the folded position, that is to say that an element not shown is integral with the sleeve 24 and retracted inside the tube 26. At the lower part of the lance 6 is a handle 21 in the vicinity of which there are two contactors 9 for controlling the spraying of water, glue, as in the main patent, or any other product allowing cleaning. At the lower part of the tube 26 is a guide 22 through which the pipe 5 passes. As in the main patent, it is also possible to pass two pipes inside the guide 22. The pipe 5 is connected to a nozzle 25 mounted on a tab 27 and orientable on the sleeve 24. The sleeve 24 is fixed on the one hand to the end of the sliding part of the lance 6 and has at its other end a socket 23 inside which can be mounted various accessories and in particular a brush 28 which is immobilized in the socket using a screw 29. The nozzle 25 can be oriented so as to apply the liquid product immediately below the brush or even to the inside of it.

The length of the lance can vary for example from 2 meters 20 in the retracted position to 4 meters 20 in the deployed position, these lengths being given only for information. The turns of the pipe 5 deviate more or less depending on the length actually used. The control buttons 9 open either the circuit of the product contained in the first tank, or the circuit of the product contained in the second tank. These products can be, as in the main patent, on the one hand glue and on the other hand clear water. It is also possible to include in the reservoirs any detergent or detergent and clear water.

As shown in Fig.2, the sleeve 23 also allows mounting at the end of the lance 6 a wind screen 30 made of light metal or plastic. This accessory has proved particularly useful in strong winds to prevent the glue jet from being misdirected and contaminate the environment instead of covering the panel. The nozzle 25 mounted on a tab 27 is oriented so as to open out in the center of the wind screen 30 which takes the form of a fan-shaped corridor.

Fig.3 shows another application of the addition more particularly intended for the cleaning of traffic lane markers which we know exist at the rate of about fifty traffic markers per lane kilometer. in France. In this particular case, the brush support 31 is mounted inside the socket 23 and it carries in its front part a stirrup 32 on which the brush support 34 proper is articulated at 36 which follows the triangular or round shape. polls. The bristles 35 are installed inside the support 34 so as to release a central space. On the bracket 32, two nozzles 25A and 25B are respectively mounted which are connected by a T-connector to the pipe 5 (not shown) These two nozzles can be oriented for example towards the central part of the support 34. articulated at 36 to hold it perpendicular to the post whatever the operator's movement. The nozzles 25A and 25B allow the post to be watered as much as is necessary either with detergent or with clear rinsing water.

Thanks to the accessories which have just been described, the gluing device according to the main patent sees its practical applications multiplied and this device can be used as a washer, a wild display stripper, a weeding device for small areas, a device spraying anti-glue, device for treating wood, roofs or applying water-repellent products, device for special washing by adapting appropriate brushes, device for washing bus shelters, telephone boxes or analogues by mounting in the sleeve 23 of ordinary brushes. For example, to combat the wild display, a solvent for the glue is introduced into one of the reservoirs and then by reversing the circuit controlled by the contactors 9, the poster is torn off and the support is rinsed using clear water pressure.

It goes without saying that many variants can be introduced in particular by substitution of equivalent technical means without thereby departing from the scope of the present invention.
